Shooting At Kroger Store In Louisville

I've had a whole mess of folks trying to contact me and make sure I'm okay because apparently there was a news agency that incorrectly reported the shooting as having taken place at the Kroger I usually shop at.

I'm seeing a LOT of mixed news reports here. Sounds like all we have confirmed right now from police is that there were two shooters exchanging fire, police have one person in custody, multiples were injured there is one person dead - no word on whether or not the deceased individual is counted as one of the "wounded".

Reports say it was a shootout between two men and an elderly woman was caught in the crossfire and has passed away.

I frequent this Kroger store.

And it’s not near Louisville, it’s in Louisville. Jeffersontown to be exact.

Certainly gad you weren't at that Kroger while all that was going on!

There's usually quite a bit of misinformation in these dreadful incidents. From what I understand an elderly woman was hit and died from her wound.

Sorry Deuce, I just went with what the headline said.

Very glad you weren't there during the shooting!

Glad all is well, Deuce.

Two confirmed dead. Suspect was brought in.

Just saw an extended newscast from Wave 3 on this. Witnesses say a man started shooting in the store. One man was shot inside. The shooter went outside as people fled and shot a woman. Both of those people died.

Wave3 interviewed a man who claimed to be the son of a man who engaged the shooter in the parking lot. He claims that the shooter made an interesting statement but I will wait to mention it until it seems to be better verified.

I saw that as well. The shooter's alleged statement would definitely make an even more upsetting twist to the situation.

This is daughter's Kroger (they live at Fenwick Place).

Are the news outlets still reporting what you all said above about a statement?
