Northern Kentucky Basketball Coaches Association - Preseason Top 10 Teams and Players

Beechwood has a sophomore. Curly hair. Shooter. Plays hard & smart. Kind of a thinner kid. I really liked his game on JV last year. Anyone have a name?? He should help add varsity depth this year.

Description sounds like Will Downton.

Yes. That's him. Nice player. Tough kid, and can shoot it. Seemingly and high Bball IQ too.

- Centers will definitely start for Cooper.

- Diskin has been a great player his entire career just had to wait his turn. Possibly the most competitive kid in NKY.

- The Mayer/Spencer comparison is silly. Their games are night and day different than each other. Just body size is similar. If you could put Spencer's skills into Mayer body, heart and motor you'd probably have the a Mr. Basketball Candidate. Don't forget that Spencer should be a 2020 kid also but he's so smart he's graduating a year early.

- I don't see Draud being here yet. He's still young.

- Has anyone fixed Ryle yet. Biggest mess of any school in the state.

He’s probably one of the best point guards around didn’t get to show his potential at his last school.

Jude Bessler is a pretty good 2nd option as well...I really like what SHDHS has cooking. Who will run the point with Kaiser moving to Ryle?

Worth noting, SHDHS will be getting a bunch of really good 8th graders to matriculate there next year, so the funnel should be filling up for them for a nice run over the next 4 years.

Shea will be the staring point guard.

I wouldn’t say Centers is a lock to start. There’s 7 seniors on that team.

What does grade level have to do with it?

Your right sorry. I definitely think he’s the best guard on that team. Time will tell I guess.

Elaborate on the Ryle “mess”??

If Sullivan wants to have anything returning next year he’ll have to do it through Centers. I think he started in the scrimmage over the weekend if that mattered.

He’s probably one of the best point guards around didn’t get to show his potential at his last school.

What school? Downton has always been at Beechwood.

Elaborate on the Ryle “mess”??

That team has under achieved for several years. Not a single parent happy there.

Jeez, maybe the parents should've provided better talent.

Ryle subscribes to the "Fountain of Youth" philosophy. Their two best sophomores from last season aren't playing. Would have helped them a ton this season.
