Flyers come out on top this time because they will have worked out the kinks from the end of the game... they will be able to close it out this time! thats all they were lacking last time!

I don't think anyone at Franklin County believe the knights are under the radar.

I don't think anyone in the state thinks Lex Cath is under the radar!

It seems to me that Catholic has gone through this season under the radar.

I believe they were dismissed as contenders to defend their state title with the loss of Burke and Coach Sphire. I wouldn't be to quick to rule them out. After seeing them play last week Letton has them ready to "defend it".

Welcome to BGP...but I also disagree with you.

Coach Bill Letton Lex. Herald:

"I know Franklin County felt it lost that game in the special teams area, but we feel we didn't play well except for our special teams,"

Sounds like FC's first game was just Lex. Cath. playing down to the competition.

Good luck to both teams. I would imagine this will be a hard fought and well attended game. Is it likely to be a sell out? Does Franklin Co. have artificial turf and if not, have they played many games on plastic?

"Playing down to the competition." Against a team as good as Franklin?

That makes me laugh! I don't think I've ever seen a team from Catholic or anywhere else as far as that goes, play down to the competition.

Franklin will have to play near perfect to pull this one out. Hope they are up to the challenge

The last 2 times these guys played each other I think they combined for over 500 yards (each team; each game) and about 100 points / game combined. I look for this to be the best game of the night if you like offense. Whomever wins the turnover battle will win this ballgame. I am thinking Franklin County might pull this one out behind the senior leadership of Ammons; however, they have been known to come out w/ a half-hearted effort occasionally. If FC shows up; Lex Cath had better catch some breaks on special teams or turnovers because I don't think they can win the battle against FC's offensive and defensive linemen. The Newland kid is Division 1 material for sure (offensive line). His technique is awesome and he has the feet of a tailback.

I don't think LexCath has ever had a sellout. This will not be one. FC plays on natural grass and I don't think they have played on fieldturf this year. They only play on it when they visit LexCath. It will favor Catholic's overall team speed.

FC played on your field already this year, against Somerset.I think they did OK

in that game!:lol:Lexcath has a pitiful turnout for the football games, especially considering the caliber of the program. However, the boosters seem to able to raise huge $$$$.

I am going with the Flyers. The reason is Lex Cath doesn't believe that the Flyers stand a chance. I know that the kids at Franklin County will be ready because the believe they can win. Which in my opinion is half the battle.

I think LexCath pays enough respect to them.

I forgot about the Bluegrass Bowl since I didn't attend. Seems like LexCath had almost as many people at FC this year as FC. A lot more than FC will bring tonight I'll bet. This is really the first year that FC has brought a competitive team so the crowd may be bigger but anyone can still get a ticket I'm sure. Does LexCath even have a booster club? You apparently know a lot about the inner workings of the school.
