Logan Castleman was the man tonight. He had to rush for over 200 yards. He made a very good run on a pass reception for the first touchdown. He had a nice interception on a flea flicker play. He had some good punts. He did it all tonight.

His play of the game was the last onside kick.

SK stats

Farfsing 232 passing yards 2 tds, 3 ints and 21 carries 111 yards

Sergent 44 yards 1 td rushing

Kaiser 6 catches 95 yards 1 td

Brown 2 catches 73 yards 1 td

Mulberry 3 catches 40 yards

Big win for the Tigers. Lots of learning moments to come at film review. Defense bent but didn't break. Very impressed with the relentless way BW approaches every play. Literally no quit in these young men. Cramps, cramps, and more cramps yet each affected came back to fight again. i.e. Castleman goes off the field after being down for 45 seconds, can't hardly walk his calves are so tight and needs assistance. 4 plays later he goes 82 yards for clinching TD.

What a huge win for The Tigers. Big to get over the big school hump. When Beechwood kept hurting themselves in the first half after driving deep into SK territory multiple times. I thought SK would just wear down The Tigers in the 4th and take over. The heart of this team is unreal. Derry and both Baugh bothers were absolutely tremendous tonight to be able to take on so many different SK lineman and just keep going!!! Mad respect for this Senior class they just played so tough tonight and wouldnt let this W be taken away.

And get beat by the first decent team they decent in the playoffs.

So third or fourth round?

And get beat by the first decent team they decent in the playoffs.

Last year it took state champion Trinity to knock them out. They beat the "decent" team from Louisville the round before that - Simon Kenton 52 Ballard 12.

Very good point. Simon Kenton made the perfect onside kick. The ball took the high bounce over the front line, hit the ground and took another high bounce with Simon Kenton players in position to recover it. Castleman jumped and got a hand on the high bouncing ball and knocked it out of bounds. It was a very smart play by him.

Ballard was only decent by NKY standards, not Louisville standards.

The SK ref tried to throw a flag on the play. Lol.

I don’t know what Marksberry said to that official on his sideline but the calls became very one sided in the second half. Marksberry undressed him a few times in the first half.

It was kind of odd. They called at least three bad holding calls, one on a long kickoff return and two others after about 20 yard runs. On top of that they called two really bad personal foul calls, where the refs closest to the plays didn’t throw it but both times the ref right by the SK coach, and at least 20 yards from the play, threw the flag.

There was plenty of bad calls for both teams.

This is a VERY GOOD Beechwood team. Not surprised at all.
