November 1, 200619 yr WVA will be the highest ranked opponent ever and likely UL may never face that high of ranked opponent at home again. UL is considered the uderdog by most. So with that in mind is it a goalpost game if UL wins? If not there may never be one again if this one is not. What do you think! I say yes it is!
November 1, 200619 yr The last time they came down I was there and followed as they made there way across campus.
November 1, 200619 yr If UL fans really believe that they can go undefeated and play in the NC games then I don't think that the goal post should be torn down. Especially since UL fans would like for us to think that they are now part of the elite in college football. UL fans seem to think that they will win and some seem to think quite easily. I don't see why you tear down the goalpost in that situation.

November 1, 200619 yr If UL wants to believe that they are on the big time program level and think they are up there with the elites then I wouldnt be tearing the goal post down in this one. Those teams dont tear goal posts down after big wins.
November 1, 200619 yr Louisville isn't considered an underdog by the smart folks in Vegas. If Louisville fans tear down the goalposts, I will be embarrassed for them. Bigger things to come for them down the road IMO... Edit: NHS BIG DADDY said it better than I did.
November 1, 200619 yr they're the number 3 team in the nation. Whether you feel you should win or not, that's a HUGE accomplishment. I guess I'm just an advocate for acting like you've been there before. I think that tearing down a goal post is childish. All your doing is costing your school several thousand dollars to replace the post and creating a huge liability exposure should someone be serious injured or killed.
November 1, 200619 yr I believe that Slaton will have another good game running the football. I think this game will boost his Heisman hopes tremendously.
November 1, 200619 yr Thinking about goalposts coming down always reminds of the time when Tennessee State won the OVC the final game of the season at Murray State (it was a championship game between the two of them) and then they tore down the goal post in Murray. I am never in favor of tearing down goalposts, no matter the signficance or whatever. Someone is going to be fatally hurt one of these days. Same for charging the court in basketball.

November 1, 200619 yr I remember they carried it to winslow dining hall:lol:   You are thinking about 4 or 5 years ago when Murray State won. I am talking about two or three years earlier when TSU won (unless they took it to Winslow also).
