Looked really good. The fit was really neat. They need some new pants to go with the jerseys though. They had been using the same style jersey for years. They just replaced them on a rotating basis by giving the seniors their jerseys when they graduated.

I agree. A new style of pants would be a welcomed change.

As others have implied on here, the Raceland players HAVE to come out ready to play and totally focused on their assigments to get a win again this week. Everyone is 0-0 right now. This will take an all out effort to advance. Paris is not going to come back down here to forfiet the game. Rams have to take care of business and play football.

I think Nick West plays for Western Hills High School in Frankfort. Chase Dumphord is also a monster on the defensive and offensive line. I think he's been getting some offers from some first rate colleges too. Respect for Raceland for shutting them down. Can this team go deep in the playoffs?

We are just like everyone else, our record is 0-0 and if we don't come out and play "Raceland Ram" football we will not get past this game.

Nick Wilson was all over the field & delivered some great hits. He played with a lot of heart.

Raceland had the big plays in Round 1 (A fumble for a TD, a punt return for a TD, Paris Fumbeled and Raceland scored on the next possession, and a 73 yard bomd for a TD) If Paris was able to keep Raceland from making these big plays, then you could have had a 24-8 ballgame. Hats off to Raceland for being ready to play. I believe you make your own breaks and Raceland made the breaks in round 1. Paris did the samething against Raceland that they did against Frankfort and LCA, they laid down. The Paris Greyhounds are creatures of comfort. When they face a weaker team they are all over them, but in their 3 losses this year, they laid down, because they were hit in the mouth from the beginning to the end.

 

Round 2:

Paris did some good things in the 2nd half, they held Raceland to one score. This game Friday night comes down to whether or not Paris can find their heart this week. If they can't, then Raceland travels to LCA the following week. If they do find it, then I honestly believe that Paris will beat Raceland.

Do the Paris players believe they have a shot though?

Stats are very misleading for this Raceland team. The offense is very good. But the defense and special teams are also contributing a lot of points on the board. Interceptions run back for a TD. Punt returns and kickoffs also put points on the board. This team is dangerous in many aspects of the game.
