Well I'm a side sleeper, so I need a little bit of a thicker pillow. I actually recently just got rid of an old pillow that I'd had for probably 5 or 6 years...it was just worn out and had lost its "fluff". My wife sleeps on a shredded foam pillow that she loves, and I gave it a try for a few nights, but it actually made my face break out, so shredded foam pillows (which are the most commonly recommended for side sleepers) are a no-go.

 

I just got this one like 3 weeks ago, and it's actually a fair amount cheaper than the $50-75 that I usually spend on a pillow, but I've been really happy with it thus far. I always try to get machine washable pillows so I can toss them in the washer every few weeks, and this one is machine washable/dryable. I've always been curious to try out one of those buckwheat hull pillows, but for as pricey as they are and the fact that they're not machine washable, I've not tried one yet.

Enlighten me, I'm in need of a good pillow.

 

A couple of years ago after my expensive firm memory foam pillow that I got for a reasonable price at a discount store began to not be as firm anymore, I began having trouble with tingling in my arms like they feel when your arms are asleep and would have to numerous times a night stand up and shake them out, which scared me to think that my circulation was getting bad, and not only that I wasn't getting a good nights sleep.

 

I ventured out to find the perfect replacement with also the hopes of not spending too much, and one day while searching around Walmart I came across the Side Sleep Pro which initially I thought looked ridiculous and couldn't possibly work for me, but bought it anyhow to give it a whirl thinking that if it didn't work I'd take it back.

 

Well immediately I began sleeping good again, and was able to stay in one position for hours perhaps only turning once or twice throughout the night.

 

I tried to get away with just washing the cover, but found out I do better to soak the whole pillow once in a while in soapy water in the tub, wring in out the best I can multiple times a day, and begin this early enough when I wake so that it is dry again by the time I go to bed.

 

I goofed because Bed Bath & Beyond recently had them online on clearance for $15 and free shipping on orders of $30, so I should have bought a couple of more because now they seem to be fading out though I do see by searching a couple of sellers here and there still have them for about $20.

 

I personally have two of them, but a couple of more might not be a bad idea considering that I'm sold on them and plan to sleep this way for as long as I possibly can. I hope that I'll always be able to find these type pillows indefinitely.

 

It sorta becomes flimsy after awhile but in that case all you have to do is push most of the filling to the spot you rest your head on. It might not be for everyone, but It's the only thing that I trust for a good night's sleep anymore.

I've been wanting to do whole home audio for a while. But the thought, cost and hassle of running wires everywhere has kept me from moving forward. Sonos was the first place I looked, but the home theater piece is very expensive, and doesn't sound as good as their standalone speakers. Denon's Heos system came to my attention, and it received mixed reviews when first released a couple years ago. But they updated everything last year, and I got a chance to demo it, and fell in love.

 

The great thing is, while it does have bluetooth capability, everything runs via your WIFI, which allows the speakers to play higher quality audio files, which makes a HUGE difference. You control all speakers and audio sources through the HEOS app. It's compatible with Sirius XM, Spotify (which really uses their app), Tidal (which I use), plus many others (though not Apple Music) and can play any music sources from your networked PC's or hard drives. You can easily group speakers together to play the same thing in all rooms, or play different things from different sources in different rooms. I got a total of 7 speakers--Two Heos 1's (with batteries which make them portable, and they are weather resistant), Two Heos 3's, Two Heos 5's and a 7, plus the Heos Bar and Sub for home theater. The 3's also double as my surrounds in my home theater setup. The whole system works like a champ. All the speakers sound great, and I can crank all of of them together and blow the doors off. One cool thing is I can have music, or tv follow me around wherever I go in (or out) the house. It's so easy to use, my wife even has it figured out. There are some shortcomings....You need to have a strong WIFI signal for everything to work...I had to get a network extender to cover my whole house, otherwise I had some areas that dropped out on occasion. Also, while I like how the speakers are shaped, many don't...it's a love or hate type thing. Also, as I mentioned before, it doesn't work with Apple music (unless you play it through your PC's). Also, despite everything, I was unable to get true stereo sound from my PC using the 3.5mm cable as an input, as I could only play that input through the speaker it was plugged into. So in my man cave/home office, I ended up getting a pair of AudioEngine A5+wireless speakers and re using my Polk subwoofer from my original sound system. All in all I ended up spending around $4000. I bought everything from Crutchfield, and got most of it at a discount either open box or scratch and dent. I've been planning on doing this for awhile, and have been squirreling money away for about 3 years, and we are doing some other renovations in the house, so it didn't take much convincing to get wife approval. It's the first real, matched higher end system I've ever had, and I've been using it a ton, since I work from home.
