Exactly. And people’s irresponsibility with guns is a major issue along with the loopholes that allow easy access to obtain guns. There’s no reason why we can’t close those loopholes.

Agreed. My point is that if you make a person go through the same type of process to own a gun I’m sure they’ll be way more responsible not only about their ability to buy guns but with their right to legally own a gun. We have to pay car insurance to legally be on the road driving. Why can’t there be gun insurance as well? If your guns come up missing you report them stolen and if your stolen guns are used in a crime you are absolved of any wrongdoing. If you make the gun owning process more stringent then I’m sure folks will be more responsible with their guns and their ability to own guns.

Did he mow them over on purpose and do I know that my kid has mental issues? I guarantee I’d know if my kid had mental issues and if I know my kid is dangerous not only would he never know where my car keys are but I wouldn’t have sharp objects in the house and my kid would be getting the help he/she needs. Any parent involved in their kid’s life knows what they are capable of. If I felt my kids were a danger to society or themselves they wouldn’t have access to my car keys let alone my guns.

That is bogus statistics. There is a massive difference in the amount of people driving versus people carrying guns. I think if we put a gun on every person who has a driver's license and allowed them to carry it around with them all day long the number of shootings and killings would go up.

There are more people out there with gun on them than you'd care to know. Killing by them hasn't gone up, or started for that matter.

I said responsible. You're also including illegally own guns in those figures, gangs, criminals and the like. The cars all all licensed drivers pretty much.

Yet, there are PEOPLE in other countries. Ones that play violent video games and watch violent movies. Why do these other countries not have the gun violence we do?

I was thinking that. I think I made comments in it and then it disappeared shortly afterwards. I’m pretty sure I was on the same page as you when it comes to texting and driving but I honestly don’t remember the scope of the conversation right now.

If those numbers include illegally owned guns then I’d be curious to know how many unlicensed drivers or uninsured drivers are included in those numbers as well. I’m certain the illegal numbers outweigh the illegal drivers numbers but I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a large amount of illegal drivers included in those numbers.
