Irish Cat Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 ‘Full Metal Jacket’ actor R. Lee Ermey, Marine veteran and KCK native, dies at age 74 | FOX 4 Kansas City WDAF-TV | News, Weather, Sports Loved his role in Full Metal Jacket.
Jumper_Dad Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 First remember seeing him in "The Boys in Company C" another Vietnam War movie. He was great in that role also, basically the same role as in Full Metal Jacket. RIP Gunny
DragonFire Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 Aw man, I hate that. Funnily enough while Full Metal Jacket is obviously his most memorable role, I always had soft spots for his role in Saving Silverman and Fletch Lives.
Hatz Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 He was great as Mississippi mayor in the Mississippi Burning movie.
Mack The Knife Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 His Geico commercial is an all time classic!
#99 Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 As serious as he could be in the war movies, and really appreciated him for that, his role in saving Silverman was downright funny. I don't think he ever played a role I didn't like. Full metal jacket one of my all time favorites. As long as it not the TV version. Lol
Jackie Ed Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 I agree on the Saving Silverman. He was great in that role and threw myself for a loop when he flipped his sexual preference.
littleluck55 Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 I assume he escorted Mrs. Bush through Heaven's gates.
