Congrats to everyone involved with the program who earned this ring....

Is the ring actually black/gunmetal? Or is that just the coloration for the rendering?

That's sharp! Stupid questions: Do all football schools get rings for state titles? If so, are they paid for and distributed by the school? How much do they cost?

The rings are something done by the individual school...not by the KHSAA or the state. I can't speak for public schools, but most of the private schools I've known to have won state championship rings have tried to pay for the rings via booster clubs, donations and school funding.

 

Assuming they design the rings using the jeweler's proprietary non-precious metal and stones, I would think the cost is fairly similar to a class ring...so somewhere in the $150-$250 range.
