Johnson Central/Mason County predictions

Featured Replies

Here is a little something to discuss... Johnson Central has a scoring pattern.

North Laurel 40-6

South Point, OH 35-7

Logan, WV 35-8

Bryan Station 38-14

Lawrence County 55-12

Boyd County 63-12

Paintsville 56-6

Greenup County 49-7

Ashland Blazer 35-7

So if this "pattern" holds true, the score should be something around 35-8 in favor of Johnson Central.

JC is one of the best wishbone teams i have seen in a while, and don't forget those linemen firing off the ball the timing is perfect.

Back in the 70s Ashland had some very good wishbone teams also, but one team gave us fits on our blocking rules- Huntington High. They ran a 4-4 d-fense with a aggressive stunting D showing stunts one way when you got set and at the last second stunting the other gap on a preplaned gap stunt.

It drove us crazy they never over penetrated so are backs could get behind them and we had two all-state backs and two all-state linemen .

But thats easier said then done and HHS had some skilled players, they beat us in close games several years with this high risk d-fense.

JC wins 42-0:thumb:

Mason Co. is a great place.

On your way across the field to the visitors seats stop and say hi, I'll be in the end zone loung'n:thumb:

Hold up there bub! You have to be kidding me! JCHS has a lot more weapons on the ground than Grim. Blake Johnson is an all-state fullback from last yr. Richardson, Welch, and Dillion are also great runners. Obviously you haven't seen this team play!

Make no mistake my friend the WR's and QB are also great players. Come on down and watch sometime.

I think you have seriously over thought my post. You might want to read it again this time try not to have the pre-concieved notion that i'm bashing your team.

Now, let me know how it sounds to ya, BUB!;)

Will do. There should be several posters at the game. I dont know if all of them will stop and say hi. But I will.

Johnson Central played Greenup County on 10-6 at home. JC won 49-7.

Mason County played @ Greenup County on 10-13, one week after JC did and Mason County won 7-0.

Did Greenup County get good in a week, or did Mason County have an off night? I hate to use that as a comparison, but it does make you wonder.

Mason shutout Greenup, while Central gave up a score... What are you saying ??

With any luck, you can catch one or two of these places open after the game. All, with the exception of Pasquales (just down US 68 before you get to the bottom of the hill; and it's very easy to find) and Dominos are on top of the hill - not downtown; and are close to the school.

I probably missed one or two but that's a fairly complete list.

Thank You....you do have some really nice restaurants.

42 hours and 25 minutes........................

JC has too many weapons.

I see JC winning by only 3 td's against the very proud Mason Co team

Mason 7

'96, you may be in the end zone drownin' if the weather report is accurate...:thumb:

Can Mason's field handle the rain that we are supposed to get starting today with heavy rain tomorrow?

Thanks for the list. I know alot of JC fans that love to eat. So that drive to Maysville is looking even better.

you forgot Sonic.
