Johnson Central/Mason County predictions

Featured Replies

I'm not sure I agree with you. Central's strength in the running game is outside the tackles. From the sound of the forecast, it's not going to be easy for the RB's to make cuts.

Though I think a sloppy field hurts Central more than Mason, I still believe the Eagles should win this game by 2 or 3 TD's (on a dry field, I'd pick them by 4 or 5).

Blake Johnson can run between the tackles as well as any anybody in the state. Not to mention Chase Richardson, he can do some power running. Shawn Grimm, Nathan Dillion and Ian Welch all love running outside the tackles. But I still think all of these players can run bewteen the tackles and have big games.

Someone should designate a meeting place and time for some of the BGPers to meet. I would love to meet some of you guys.

Good idea.

Most of JCs offense is ran between the tackles Grimm even got most of his yards against Ashland Between them.

Agreed I believe it is Mason Co. who is hurt more by the rain. They like to get in that shotgun and throw and run with the QB. IMO, if the game comes down to between the tackles I will take the Eagles. One other point, JCHS has play Boyd, Logan, and Greenup in sloppy conditions and looked really good doing so. Mason will play without a ton of emotion but will it be enough to put them on top?

I like the Eagles

JC-34

Mason-12

Against better competition, Mason is averaging about 10 points a game.

Central 45

Mason 0

Does anybody know if Mason County has had their field covered because of the rain?

No.

Looks like a soggy night for Kentucky football! Safe travels to all making the trip to Mason Co. tonight!

Go Eagles!!!!

They said by Saturday Mourning we could see 1-2 inches of rain here and its already been raining 24 straight hours. It will be ugly tonite.

I will be making the trip there tonight. Does Mason Co. ever cover up their field when they are expecting big rains?

No, they don't. What made the field so bad last week was rain plus soccer. The field should be sloppy tonight, but mabye not quite as chewed up as last week.

Somebody from Mason County give us a weather update.

It's not looking good. Hopefully everybody will be safe going and coming back from the game.
