No you didnt miss him. He probably went into cardiac arrest after last night. I hope hope the poor guys okay.

This coming from a guy who's team sets off fireworks after every touchdown and has a cannon. I think this loss might have ruined this guys life from the way it sounds. Its a game, where people come to not only support their team but also to have fun. You are the one person out of many that is complaining about anything that went on last night. Ashland lost, and the PA man had nothing to do with that. Maybe if these two meet in the play offs the coaches from JC could be nice enough to leave their cheerleaders, fans, PA guy and music guy at home so it isnt unfair to ashland. Id say without the PA guy JC might have only won by 17 or so. Id call KHSAA Bad Cat, lets get an investigation going on this situation. haha. Congrats JC, you proved yourself last night.

Thats right after touchdowns not between every play an several times into the play! Ashlands band was stopped just last week from playing during the game an before plays an this went on all night. I guess those with little class have a hard time seeing the lack of it!!! It is one thing to fire up the home team but that is ridiculous as I have stated before act like you have been a winner before it is so much better than to act like you have no idea how to control yourselves.

And as for all that garbage, I dont see anything wrong with the JC fans, parents, coaches, players or anyone else involved being over excited about this game. After the game between these two last year its natural for a team who knows they have the better team to be pumped about it. Nothing wrong with that. Act like youve been out of the holler before ? To me that sounds like a 28 point pounding talking.

That wasn't me ole buddy that was one of your own in the post game thread!! I just quoted them. See your own people agree!

You guys have a great team an the better team won plain an simple It just looks much better to be good hosts vs taunting the opposing team with such banter during the entire game!

My goodness BADCAT you can't be serious. You are the only person on this site whinning about noise at a football game. I mean so what JCHS blows the horn when they make a big play on D or after a long run. Hey I got a good idea for the next time you come to JCHS! If you don't want to hear the sounds or the one liners stop the Golden Eagle offense and don't let them make big plays on D. If you can do that I am sure no one from JCHS will complain about the lack of noise. This is absolutely the wildest complaint I have heard in my short time on BGP.

And to be honest... Johnson Central's music man (Todd Conley) hasnt even scratched the surface on his playlist. I know that for a fact.

Those would be great additions to the schedule. You are probably already aware of this fact, but Belfry used to be our biggest rival aside from Paintsville.

Ironically, the reason that the game became such a rivalry was a controversial field goal call back in '75 (I think I know that it was '75, but I could be mistaken). Johnson Central fans at the game swear that a would-be game winning field goal split the uprights and was called no good. For years afterward, Johnson Central coaches played a video of that game before taking the team to Pond Creek.

It will not take much effort to make Belfry a rival once again. There are many people still around, including Johnson County's school superintendent, who played in that 1975 game.

I believe the game was played in 76 Brian Taylor kicked a field goal as time expired which was ruled no good. JC's team was escorted back to Pikeville by the KSP.

At that time the district included Russell, Belfry and JC. In 77 JC did not play in the district and went 9-2 with loses to Paintsville and Pikeville.

Someones a little touchy today. Must have been a long ride home from the holler last night. You continue to talk about how JC needs to act like they have won before, I think a lot of Ashland fans inclucing you need to learn to act like you've lost before. I dont have a dog in this fight, infact, earlier this week I said that JC had the better team but I predicted Ashland to win. I just think its very entertaining to hear some of the excuses made after a loss from the tomcats. Playing some music and having a good time has little to do with class. After a loss the first thing you do is start complaining about the music and the PA man ???? Did the quality of the bleachers, food, parking or anything else about last night rub you the wrong way ? As for class Bad Cat, the 250 word essay you wrote on how JC should act like they have won before, like they have been out of a holler before basically calling all of Johnson Central honkies. Now that shows a lot of class. I hope my horse has enough years in it to make it to the huge city of Ashland one day, I hear they even have a shopping mall there. haha. lets not forget that deep down were still all from Kentucky.

  you r the only one complaining. Your Ashland buddies dont even agree with you... They liked it.. You lost and it wasnt the PA mans fault:lol:

Ive tried to keep up with all the JC fans posting and it is crazy, I realize it was a big win but wow you guys are going crazy, I bet some of you have posted 20 times alone in this thread. I get the feeling that some of you dont much like Ashland or atleast they have been on top so long that it feels like a mil getting them. You guys are also getting a little to taken with Westsider, he often raises my brow with a post I dont agree with about Mayfield but to his credit he is just calling'em like he see it and he try's to do so unbiased. He is not against anyone really and I dont think he has a favorite team he just loves KY HS football.

As for JC's win congrats, I think I know what made it all possible, it is the work of Eddie Blair developing these kids fundamentals, great work Ed keep of the hard work

No one is going to argue that point. Although I dont think that its all Eddie Blair, he does do a great job developing the middle school talent.

Eddie's been coaching the 7th and 8th grades for at least the last 14 years and has done an excellent job with these kids.

With all due respect, you really don't know what made this possible. The sudden rise of Johnson Central's program from the ashes has been a team effort. Eddie Blair has done an outstanding job as a middle school coach, but so have all of the other people who have coached there over the years.

Johnson County's administration finally realized after playing musical chairs with the head football coaching job that it takes time and patience to build a program and it requires some continuity at the top. This seems to be common sense, but it apparently took many years for the Johnson County administration to reach this conclusion. Johnson County has always produced great players at the middle school level, and success has not always followed those players to the high school.

No one person deserves all the credit for building Johnson Central's program, but three people warrant special mention. First, current superintendent Steve Trimble broke the long standing pattern of head coaches with one and two year tenures by hiring Bill Musick and not firing him after the team posted an 0-10 record in his first season.

Bill Musick brought respectability to the program, including its first 4A district title and undefeated regular season in 2000.

After some missteps, in which the administration failed in its first attempt to hire Jim Matney, which indirectly resulted in three dismal seasons under two coaches, Steve Trimble and the administration persuaded Coach Matney to take the job three years ago.

There are plenty of other people, including Eddie Blair, that deserve much thanks for their hard work, but Trimble, Musick, and Matney are the biggest factors in the program having reached its current level, IMO. There is no substitute for having a talented head coach at the high school level. None.

Whoa here now!!!! You mean to tell me that a fan of a team that has a certain guy in the broadcast booth has the nerve to say anything about someone else's program not having class?
