For those who are criticizing the Johnson Central PA man, and the choice of music I'm afraid that is just sour grapes. As I stated earlier I thought the choice of music was great, and very clever. Everyone that I sat around also enjoyed it. It was very entertaining. The Johnson Central admin also did a great job. At one time during the game a young JC fan came to the Ashland student section with what was supposed to be a stuffed Tomcat on a string. It was promptly taken away from him, and he was admonished. The folks from Johnson Central were very hospitable, and I look forward to a possible return trip in three weeks.

 

 

I simply stated the facts JC announcer was in very poor taste and showed no Class! As for the cat on a stick that was handled pretty quick, but IMO wasn't that big of a deal except where he was walking with it. Those same officals stopped the Ashland band from playing in between plays last week, an still let that smartalecky PA guy play on all night during the game even during some plays!! Unacceptable! As I said last night in my post The better team won Grimm is a great little running back! As some of your own have stated on here before, act like you have been winners before, act like you have been out of the holler before! As for sour grapes not even close Im just glad I wasn't setting around anyone who appreiacted any of there behavior. I did ENJOY some of there pregame music and how they brought there team to the field! But IMO that is where it should stop the tacky one liners were inappropriate and tasteless, even though you have not act like you have been in big games before, If this continues into the playoffs however far they may go try to control yourselves? I know now Matney finally found a place to fit in, so glad Ashland didnt consider his application a few years ago! When you go to Maysville next week take a look a long look a quality an Classy team an people in general, what a fine program! The PA guy is much older than 17 and he is a friend of mine. He is a VERY educated man. Isnt that why it's called home field advantage?

For a game that was talked about as one of the big games in KY this weekend, we are spending alot of time arguing over the PA anouncer. This must be a theme for the year. Last week people were griping about Campbell Co.'s anouncer. Two things in my opinion. First of all these are usually volunteer jobs so give them a break. Second if you have never been an anouncer or not willing to fix the problem by volunteering your own services then give it a rest and stick to the topic of football. If you haven't noticed it is played on that big grassy or muddy thing (just couldn't resist) in front of the bleachers with all the white lines on it and goal posts at each end. Last time I checked press boxes are behind the bleachers so no reason to confuse the two.

I still think he needs to add some Flavor Flav to his play list " Yeah Boooooooyyyyyy"

But Wide Right T-shirts are perfectly fine right? The fact is you got beat by the better team, well actually dominated, and those little one liners got up under that little Tomcats skin. The PA announcer you are referring to is a very very educated man, but he wasnt the one in control of the music.
