The pure randomness of it is what makes it the awesomeness that it is!

Seeding would have some god awful first round games...

And not seeding it could create some god awful second round games.

Take away the 11/7 region matchup in the first round that has everyone butthurt and one could make an argument that the rest of the tournament looks like it was seeded.

Looks like a clear path to the title game for Covington Catholic or Cooper.

Or some other 9th Region team that gets very hot at the right time. Has happened before.

We'll just save the awful games for the lter rounds then?

Not this year. CovCath or Cooper comes out of the 9th.

It is impossible to fairly seed the Sweet 16. Impossible.

Wrong

Fern Creek and Doss would disagree. As would I. Throw in Butler too for good measure.

Wrong

Convince me then. I’m all ears. And don’t use the Litkenhouse, Cantrall, or Seth Ratings and don’t say the AP Poll either because last I saw NKY only has one vote. What is the most fair way possible to seed teams after all the region tournament winners are known?

Welcome to BGP!

I think the champs are coming out of the 6,7 or 11th. Hate that you have one of the best teams out after the first round but is what it is. I can see why the other regions like it, gets rid of one of the best teams and makes an easier road. But in the end, I think the road leads to the 6,7 or 11th. Lots of season left to play. so I will watch and enjoy that and worry about all of this when it's time to worry about it:banana:

Can't seed the state tournament without seeding entire state IMO. If its about getting the best teams to the final four and rewarding them for a great season why do they get eliminated at district or regional level when they would walk through 5 or more other regions easily. Don't stacked regions and districts eliminate teams early in the big tourney? Like Ballard, StX, and Trinty in 7th or Scott County and LCA and LexCath in the 11th.

Can't seed just state tourney. Seed the whole thing or none of it from my perspective.

Thoughts?
