2018 Boy's Sweet 16® Draw

Featured Replies

I mentioned doing something in rupp for fans/students/kids, what about bracketville like the Final Four has? It may be called Fan Fest now. This is something the KABC could run

Do you really believe that fans and students from all over the commonwealth would rush to Rupp to attend ?

Never said it would but it could provide some entertainment in between sessions for those that do attend and stay. Provide a better experience to keep families coming back like they used to. When I attended the final four in Atlanta thats were my family stayed most of the time. I just think the sweet 16 is facing competition for fans and its seems to be losing. Whats your plan or you just want it as is? At least one year my row won an ice cream. Couldnt wait to go back and see if I could win again the next year

So the possibility of free ice cream was the big draw for you?

No a little sarcasm there. I go because the state tournament has been a big part of my life. Would just like to see it revamped

Figured this thread could use a bump.

Hey man... you doing any CN2 interviews for the Sweet 16 this season? Always dig hearing your breakdown. :thumb:

Nah. They didn’t call me this season.

Are you going this year?

Are you going this year?

Maybe on Friday and Sunday. That’ll probably be it. I have plans on Saturday. I may go to one of the night sessions on Wednesday or Thursday depending on the matchup but I can’t afford to miss work this year.

Let me know when you are there, would love to see you again

Will do!

Those advocating for seeding... how would you go about doing it?

Personally I like the draw. Yea it might give some of the top teams the short end of the stick but it gives some of the lesser known teams a chance to shine and show what they’re capable of

I agree. I just don't see how you could do a fair "seeding".

THe computers are flawed. Cantrall has teams ranked ahead of others despite having a worse record and LOSING three times to that team. Litkenhous seems to give the early season way too much credit.

If you use a "committee" you are sure to end up with people on the committee who have never seen some of the qualifiers play.

I just think it's too tough to try to make it fair. Because it would never be fair. That's why I think you leave it to "chance".

Will do!

I’d like to say hello too. I’ll PM you during the Friday sessions. I enjoyed talking to you the last couple of Sweet 16’s.
