This is what Weather.com currently says for NKY:

Friday, Rain...mixing with snow in the afternoon. Some sleet or freezing rain possible. Morning high of 41F with temps falling to near freezing. Winds N at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 100%. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected.

Friday Night, Snowy and windy conditions in the evening. Snow will taper off to a few snow showers overnight. Low near 15F. Winds N at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow 90%. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected.

weather.com always seems to disappoint me with their forecasts. It is constantly changing and seems to miss more than get correct.

It could be pouring down rain, and their app will say 0% precipitation. I only use the app for the radar anymore.

and the future radar in the spring and summer is terrible. I have to make calls on games and they are not the best to follow to make predictions.

I never use the future radar. I have to make calls on games too, and I hate it. I'll keep an eye on the radar starting a few hours before game time, and I'll try to make an educated decision based on the way the rain is tracking. I've cancelled games where the storm splits right before hitting the fields, and it doesn't rain at all. I've kept games on thinking it would miss us only to have it pour. Now, I just tell parents to always anticipate playing as it's going to be a last minute call when it's one of those 50-50 scenarios.

I use Radar Scope. Great radar app, IMO, with tons of feature.

I put the snow plow and salt spreader on our service truck at work for our yard where our trailers are. Bet it only rains LOL

Anywhere from 4-15 inches forecasted.

When will the milk and bread rush begin? I want to go watch the old people yell at each other.

I've seen younger people do their fair share of yelling and fighting on Black Friday, fighting over the latest game player or game or phone:meh:.

Here my first call on snow and ice.

If this trend holds true western Kentucky will get hit hard. I'm centering on the NAM for now because I think the GFS is not really getting a good read on this storm at this time. The NAM maybe overdoing it a little but only time will tell.

West of I-65

widespread 1-2" of ice Owensboro may see around 2"

2-4" of snow west of Land Between the Lakes. East of there to about I-65 8-10" of snow.

East of I-65 trace to .75" of ice. 1-3" of snow mainly from around the I-64 corridor north to around the Ohio River.

Louisville could get around .5" of ice plus 4-6" of snow.

those along the Ohio River northward could see upwards around 8-10" of snow plus around a .10" of ice.

These totals will be fine-tuned as we get closer to the event.

Looks like there may be another snow maker coming through parts of Kentucky on Monday.

Thanks. I will check it out.

So, up just south of Cincy, you're thinking somewhere in the neighborhood of this? Any idea of a time frame for a change over?

For now, your area 4-6" of snow with the freezing rain/ice starting Friday afternoon and the snow changing over Friday night maybe around 10 or so. I'll post a full update in the morning.

Got a trip planned to Asheville this weekend. That’ll be a fun trip.

So maybe reconsider a trip to Cleveland this weekend?

We are leaving for Cleveland in the morning and coming back Friday. Have no clue what we may run into.

@nWo coming back and leaving Cleveland around 12-1:00 Friday. What should we expect on our way home? Thanks so much my friend.
