I am truly being sincere here and not disagreeing with your above statement... other than Highlands, CovCath, and Bowling Green who do you consider to be a top 10 team in 3A?

My top 10 would look like this ...

 

1. Bowling Green

2. Highlands

3. Covington Catholic

4. Lexington Catholic

5. Louisville Central

6. Franklin County

7. Johnson Central

8. Hopkinsville

9. East Jessamine

10. Rockcastle County

I am just interested as to why you think a 3-A team should not lose to a Raceland team.

Well good luck this Friday with Fairview... you need to come down sometime and catch a game, espically if we get the new sports complex that they have been saying we are going to get for next year. :thumb:

I am so tired of hearing soft schedule...soft schedule...Some people need to get a clue.

Are you arguing with the notion that Johnson Central's schedule is soft? If so, maybe you need one.

Checking the weather for friday night... http://www.weather.com is giving that we will have pm showers friday night with a temperature of around 50 degrees. Should be a good night for football, hopefully JC's field will hold up.

The weather no matter what it may be imo will not be much of afacto9r just for the fact that both teams will have to play in it / same conditions. I believe that all would want a dry field and good weather but that should even out no mattrer what the conditons.

Yea but we wouldn't want Ashland to have the upper hand again if the field gets wet... we all know how they are bad to use those mud cleats! :lol:

A little info. When Ashland played Raceland it was the first game of the season so i don't think any team was listed in top 10 in any class.

You are wrong in stating that Raceland is not a top 10 team in Class A. They have been ranked in the top 10 since the polls came out after the first week was completed. They are currently ranked # 8 in Class A.

I belive that they are westsider unless they have dropped in the last couple of weeks. I think that they were as high as #5 at one point and have been hanging around #7,8 or in that area most of the season. They were at #10 at one points and I believe they were at #7 this week. Either way, polls are just that ......someones opinion and the EKY, NEKY schools for the most part don't get much notice in them. That imo still doesn't answer cville's question or mine which I have the same one. Raceland this season is a very good class A team and they beat a very good Ashland team in the opening week of the season. Both Raceland and Ashland are much better at this point than when they played that game. I don't know if you have seen Raceland play this year or not but imo they can play with anyone, they may not come out a winner vs. some but they will be in the ball game. Having said all of that, this thread is about JC/Ashland and not Raceland/Ashland and I don't see how Raceland beating Ashland has anything to do with the JC/Ashland game this week. you comments seem to fall in the "if a frog had wings then he........." category and has nothing to do with JC/Ashland this week.

I'll restate it this way ... in my opinion, Raceland isn't one of the top 10 teams in Class A. And I don't feel that a legitimate top-10 team in 3A should lose to Raceland.

You are entitled to your opinion. My opinion is that your opinion about Raceland not being a top 10 team doesn't hold much water since they are rated # 7 in a few polls. Just a simple question!! Have you actually watched Raceland play a game this season?

The only other team that is ranked below Raceland that I feel should be ranked ahead of them is LCA.

This a thread about JC/Ashland so I will leave it at that. Sorry for the hijack JC/Ashland fans!!

I hope JC wins this one for my old UK pal Eddie Blair. Can anyone tell me if he is still coaching the youngsters over there?

JC looks stronger but I do take note of their schedule being soft making it a tough call on how good they are but on the other hand Ashlands loss to a good but not great Raceland team also leaves me scratching my head in this one though the Ash/Race game was early in the season
