I'm just going to throw my 2 cents in on the whole deal. For the most part some of our own JC fans while thinking they are supporting the Eagles have really done nothing more than make themselves look like complete idiots and have only in my opinion embarrassed the whole school system by constantly rattling on and on and on about mostly nothing. xyience you have done far more damage to the Golden Eagles this whole season than you could ever have dreamed of helping them. Hey for one time act like you have traveled out of the hollow before. Where in the heck do you come up with all the garbage you post on here? Again in my opinion you have only embarrassed yourself and all of Johnson Central, the players , and particularly Coach Matney this whole season long. Eagle01 , you started out good with sensible posts, but the more and more I read I have come to the conclusion that you are coming down with a bad case of xyience-itis. Man I hate to get on to our own fans but I swear I wish some of you guys would just shut up for awhile. Even if we haven't been there before, as least act like we have been there before. I can see why people state wide might think we are nothing but a bunch of nuts. Come on guys tone it down, you are not helping anything. And to everyone else reading these threads away from here, I promise that we do have a few fans that have a little sense. I swear we do!!!!

I don't think I have said anything on here that doesn't show that I have the utmost respect for Ashland... just showing a little support don't think I have done anything to embarass anyone.

The game is supposed to start at 7:30. I dont know about what time the gates open. I would say around 5:30, but that is just a guess.

For the last ten years I have seen and heard many characters talk about Johnson Central athletics. The thing that bothers me is that a lot of eagle supporters usually talk about how they would do things different and how if we lose at anything the coach should be replaced. I have watched parents and other supporters make a mockery of themselves and the program but people just kind of shrug it off. Then I see people like xyience act excited about the program then he is looked at as a negative influence to the program. This is a discussion board I thought. Any people that read these posts should not let any comments affect any thoughts about the program they already had. I love to hear the exhuberance of the positive posters like xyience and others. Like all other posts on these discussions this is merely my opinion. In no way am I trying to be negative towards anyone but people should say what they want and not have to worry if they offended anyone especially if they are just saying what is in their heart for the program.

This thread is actually getting kind of funny, this thread has absolutely nothing to do with the game tonight and more to do with people wasting time. Too bad you can't hardly have a decent conversation about a game on here anymore.. I don't blame the Ashland members for not getting on here and trying to talk about the game, they would get bombarded with weather reports, crowd figures, and JC posters arguing about who is hurting the team more by posting all this baloney and being over confident, it seems like lately you can't have a meaningful conversation about the real meaning of the game and thats what happens on the field ..not in the stands/parking lot/ or track! I have no beef in who wins this game, I could care less.. but there are 5 pages to this thread and I still dont know any more about any of these teams then when this thread started.

A few thoughts on tonight's game...

 

I really have a good feeling about this game. I usually am pretty reserved and cautious about making bold predictions about a JC win against a quality opponent like Ashland. With that said, I honestly believe that the Golden Eagles have a good shot at beating Ashland by 2 or more touchdowns That is not a shot at Ashland...I believe they are a really good team. However, I also believe that JC has one of the best AAA teams the mountains has seen in a while.

 

One thing JC has to do tonight is play tough between the 20s. Most, if not all, of the opponents JC has faced this year, have considered anything inside the JC 30 yard line 4 down territory. If Ashland gets inside the JC 30 they will more than likely put points on the board.

 

JC has done an excellent job of giving their opponents poor field position to start drives. This is going to be key again tonight. Barrett must continue to boom the ball on kickoffs and not give Ashland a short field to work with.

I wasnt a member of bluegrasspreps.com last year. I cant remember who it was, but an Ashland poster did post the directions to Putnam stadium for the game, so I will do the same for JC's field.

 

If you take U.S. 23 south, get off at the first paintsville turn-off. That will put you on rt. 321. You will go through 3 red lights before you get to the school. The school sits on the left side of the road, the campus is pretty big so it will be easy to see.

If you are going to give directions give bogus directions. That way there are more seats for the JC faithful...lol. :sssh:
