I really don't follow to much football in this part of the state, but from what I've heard JC looks pretty good. I'm thinking that they should handle Ashland pretty easily.

Ashland seems to play best when no one gives them a chance at all. I think JC is the better team of the two, but after reading all season that JC should win by atleast 2 touchdowns, I'd say Ashland will still find a way to pull this one out.

With that being said, I think whoever wins this matchup wont be so fortunate if the two teams happen to meet in the playoffs.

This will be one great football game and the atmosphere will be electric. Should be a record crowd at the nest. Man, I can't wait!

If JC runs the ball the way they are capable of and keeps the "time of possesion" in their favor then Ashland will have a tough time pulling this one out at the friendly confines of "The Nest".

 

This game will be electric and a lot of emotion will be shown from both team's players and fans... we must remember if us JC supporters have been waiting this long for this game to roll around again just think how bad Matney and the Golden Eagles want this one.

Wow....I really don't know how to predict this one. I will take JC by 10. Too much JC defense in this one.

I agree with you on that... JC defense is much approved form last years and the defense last year was nothing to complain about. If the Eagles come out and handle business the way they can they should come out with a win.:thumb:

Rumor has it the extra speakers we used to have are going to make a return to the stadium for this game.

I am ready for this game. I have been wanting this game since I left putnam stadium last year soaking wet. I think everybody there that night wearing black and gold feels the same way I do. And friday... JC gets to take out a year of frustration on Ashland. And it aint gonna be pretty!!

JC has one of the best PA guys around.

 

If I remember correctly... one of the first games Ashland played away, the PA guy for that school had a tough time with a few of Ashland's last names.

That would be a good idea.

Another idea JC might want to consider is having some sort of temporary bleachers brought in for this game. I believe for this game we could fill the whole bleachers with just JC fans, with temporary bleachers that would give JC fans more places to sit along with giving the Ashland fans more seating.

 

I have heard this brought up a couple of times for games such as the Apple Bowl, I wonder if they would ever do that for a game of this magnitude.

This has been discussed, but the fire marshall says no. Any bleachers have to be anchored(i.e. set in concrete, etc.). So there isn't going to be any temporary bleachers. I wish we could though. Hopefully, this may be the last year we have such problems.
