Johnson Central vs. Ashland part 2

Featured Replies

Looks like the tomcats might have to bring their "mud cleats" again on friday.

No need to worry momcat,:thumb: the Tomcats will show up and play well in rain, snow, sleet or hail! They are just like the postal service.:D Ashland has a proud tradition through ALL years and they have went into hostile envoromenmts before being an underdog and came out on top. This should be a great game, no question but in the end I will have to take Ashland 24-21 on a winning field goal!! ;)

 Got to have a sense of humor!

Centrals Defense that is counting JV playing most of the second half of games is only giving up an average of 9 points a game. just thought i would add that.

I can respect what you are saying DH but Ashland is a MUCH stronger team than ANY of JC's opponets this season. The Tomcats will play 4 qtrs., I can promise you that.

:thumb: I was wondering if anyone would catch that. ;)

Yeah any mention of the word "field goal" usually catches the attention of us Eagle fans.

The most points central has givin upin a single game all year is 14. I dont see Ashland scoring 28 points. I dont see them holding Central to 6 either they are averageing 46 points a game. But you are entitled your opinion but i hope your wrong.:thumb:

While I am sure that JC has a great defense and their stats back that up, I also feel that Ashland is very capable of scoring 28 points. I would not under estimate the Ashland defense. From the games I have watched their D is one of their strong points. I also give the edge to Ashland on special teams play. Special teams could play a huge roll as you are well aware of from last years performance!! Like I stated earlier, I have not watched JC but have seen Ashland and if JC doens't take them serious it could be a long night in Johnson Co.

I can guarantee you that they won't hold Central to 6 points. And I think a lot of people will see eye to eye with us on that Dark Horse!!!

Maybe I could get you to purchase me a lottery ticket!!

I don't think anyone in Johnson Co. or the state is dumb enough to believe the JC isn't going to take Ashland serious. They are by far the best team we have played or will play in the regular season and a lot of people have been waiting a year for this game.

If Ashland does beat JC it won't be because they aren't taking them seriously.

I am ready for this game. I have been wanting this game since I left putnam stadium last year soaking wet. I think everybody there that night wearing black and gold feels the same way I do.

Be careful on what you wish for, it just might come back and bite you in the buttox.:p :sssh: :sssh:

Just by reading the post it seems that no one in JC gives Ashland a shot at winning. I admire their support for the program but to not give your opponent any recognition is a sign of overlooking them. I don't think the coaching staff is not taking Ashland serious but the fans seem to be, and this sometimes can rub off on your players who I am sure read these message boards. After reading your comment about Ashland I see you are fully aware what the Tomcats are capable of doing.

JC has one of the best PA guys around.

If I remember correctly... one of the first games Ashland played away, the PA guy for that school had a tough time with a few of Ashland's last names.

Who is the PA guy--no way he's better than Ashland's...hmmm this could be a whole nother thread....

I have the upmost respect for Ashland's players, coaches, etc. as do most of the people that post on this board. Just sometimes the excitment of a big game and the season the Eagles are having tends to blind some of us Eagle supporters, and I am as guilty as the rest. With that said I think we all respect the Tomcats and we know how good of a football team they really are... we are just a little biased toward the Eagles. :D
