Raceland vs. Fairview / thoughts and predictions

Featured Replies

Trust me oldram the offense will be just fine. They are averaging well over 35 points a game. Combine that with a "D" that has given up less than 21 points in EVERY game this year and you have a pretty impressive team.

Raceland will be too much for Fairview and will win this game after and emotional start by the Eagles and win by 21 points.

Stats (do not) win football games but the Rams have some impressive numbers as you have said MVP!!!

They rank 1st. in Region 3 in points scored with 318 & rank 1st. in defense with only 94 points allowed. I have been involved with Ram football since the 60's and this is the highest ranking for the offense & defense I can remember.

:thumb: I agree on that cville, I can't remember a higher ranking on both "O" and "D" in the same season, I believe that a few times back through the years tha tour "D" has been ranked higher but not both in the same season.

GO RAMS

Raceland 38

Fairview 12

Unless Fairview finds an extra game of eligibility for Chris Jennings and flies him out in the KDMC helicopter from the desert I don't think the Eagles have much of a chance. Emotion keeps it close for a half before Grizzle makes a big play or three to open the game up early in the 3rd.

Red Rambler???? That's OldRambler's moniker for the proposed union of the Raceland/Russell High Schools! Welcome aboard Red Rambler:ylsuper:

   They just might do that TRR!:D By my own policy I don't make predictions on Raceland's games - it has worked pretty well so far so I think that I will stick with it.:thumb:

I totally agree with you with the offense. I am very impressed with them myself. My comments were only in the fact our MO seems to be the first couple of plays being rough on the offense. Kinda like we need a couple of plays to get warmed up. Everyone is really proud of those boys and i wish them all the best Friday. I know their ready.

GO RAMS

Rams finished up the week with a great defensive practice on wed. Thursday walk through and then off to mossy bottom friday. The Rams will be focused and ready to go! Look for some hard hits from the Orange Crush and some big plays from the Raceland offense.

Heard the Rams had a great week of practice. Hope they come out focused and ready to play. You know the eagles will be ready.

A little interesting fact I saw was that offensively, regarding points. The Ramblers through 7 weeks had scored exactly the same amount of points last year as this year, 264. With last weeks 54 the 2006 Ramblers lead the 2005 Ramblers by 2 points in scoring.

Recent events with the Fairview folk have left me somewhat bitter, I won't elaborate, but will predict and hope that the final is 56-0 in favor of the Rams! I'm surprised that the game is still on the schedule, rumor is that it's basketball season in Westwood!
