No offense but whose side are you on? The boys understand all to well that Fairview was having long practices. Chad Tackett is not going to just lay down. We are just pumping our crowd up. Predictions is coming from the hard hitting team that we have watched the last two games. The Rams never let down the entire game. I imagine Fairview will play the game of their season tonight but as you said dont be shocked if Raceland plays the game of their season tonight. It means everything to them to win tonight. On their bio's Fairview has been the majority of the seniors biggest moments.

On a final note:

I think there are people giving the Fairview team credit. If you read the Independent. They have got far more coverage then what we have received for being a much improved team. We seem to get coverage only when we lose.

You are crazy if you think Fairview gets more coverage. It is very sad that the "Ashland" Daily Disgrace Independent did not have a full write up this week on Raceland- Fairview. They have always been more focused on the bigger schools. I guess our subscriptions to their paper do not mean anything. I totally agree that Raceland should be getting more coverage this year. I assume the Ramblers upset the Ashland paper when they beat the Tomcats in their house earlier this year. :dancingpa

How many radio stations are covering the class A battle in Westwood tonight?

Just trying to get the Eagle faithful fired up tonight. I am fully aware that it will take an A+++++++++++++ effort from the boys in the Wood to pull off the biggest upset of the year.

It doesn't seem like anybody is giving the "Fighting Eagles" much of a chance in this one! One thing is for sure, the eagles will be ready to play in the "Wood". This was the best week of practice all year and the eagles have nothing to lose!!! All the pressure is on the Rams to win and win big! Don't be shocked if the outcome is not what everyone is predicting!!!

I for one am giving the Eagles a lot of credit in this one Tubbyball. Check out some of my previous post. This game is a huge and bitter rivalry and there is no doubt in my mind that Fairview has had a good week and will be ready. As I said, Fairview basically playes a one game season and that game is tonight. I expect them to come out and play hard all night. There is no "bullentin board" material" in my post I don't believe;) . Others have given th Eagles due also.

There are two stations covering the game; WLGC is the Fairview station and covers all their games and 1080am will still be covering the game I believe for the Rams.

Seems Like since Rick Greene took over for head sports editor for Mark Maynard that the level of high school football coverage around here has dropped. I know usually there is a write up about the kiwanis bowl every year in the paper and of course there wasn't this year.

There was alittle write up on the kiwanis bowl today after the game but that was about it. Nothing what so ever before the game like in past years.

You are probably right about that and I listen to them sometimes. Robinson and Hobbs just make me want to throw up though. They call a pretty good game but I don't like the way that they cut the other teams kids down:irked: .I don't mind them being Fairview bias, that is who they broadcast but in the few years that Fairview was pretty good they imo were sicking with their arrogance and imo there is no need to slam a h.s. as they have done in the past. Someone needs to get those two a book called "football for dummies":eek: :lol: . The 1080 crew does a decent, not good job. Considering that This is their first year in broadcasting games live. They have come a long way from the first of then year and I appreciate their coverage of Raceland Football.

That is your opinion and you are entitled to it and I respect that. I have to disagree though, What game does Fairview circle on their schedule EVERY year? I think that we all know the answer to that one. No mater what they say outwardly that is what they do. It really doesn't matter though and I am not going to :argue: as you say about it. Raceland hasn't been "the top dog" in the last few years but the overall tradition of Raceland Football cannot be denied no matter how much someone wants to.
