Santa, here is our one wish for next year's team

Featured Replies

I know teams have many areas to improve/maintain over the course of a season to be successful next year.

We are only going to go with the most prominent choice. What is the ONE thing that's an absolute must for your team to get where it needs to be next year.

Some may seem like big undertakings, some may seem really simple to complete a team, but let's hear them.

Merry Christmas to all the members of Bluegrass Preps! I enjoy the times I'm able to check in.

Paducah Tilghman: The choice is simple. Turnovers destroyed our season. We're not talking about the normal game type stuff, we're talking obscene amounts at the worst possible times.

That one area alone cost Tilghman big opportunities and made close games turn into lopsided scores in a hurry.

Tilghman is loaded with upperclassmen and a lot of unseen talent for next season. The turnovers must be improved drastically to get to where we want.

Franklin-Simpson: Middle defenders. Nose tackle, linebackers.

Highlands, Hmmmm, this could get interesting. Mine would have to be discipline. Saw way too many selfish personal fouls/unsportsmanship last season. Kids need to stop looking for the ESPN moment and just play within themselves and play football. Simple as that

Frankfort

Offensive Linemen -3 to 5.

Overall Depth min. of 10-12 kids.

Ashland-size and depth up front on both sides of the ball to compete with Johnson Central. Ashland always has plenty of skilled players and speed, but size and depth always seems to be lacking.

Holy Cross - wins

Boyle County- replace the big shoes that are leaving on the offensive and defensive lines so the young skilled players can have space to do what they do best!

What do the guys look like who will replace those lineman? Growing process as the season goes or are there guys ready to replace them?

I think most of us can get on board with this one. Good answer.

OL I feel like will be a growing process as 4 out of the 5 graduate. DL should be in decent shape.

To all coaches play your best players period regardless...#playtoWIN

Yes to this! I have seen multiple times over the years where players who were superior were not seeing the field for whatever reason. Doesn't make much sense but it happens.

In Ft Mitchell, we’re hoping and praying Coach Rash and his amazing staff continue their DiMaggio like stretch of making the perfect calls and choose the right successor for the departed Brayden Burch at QB.

Burch will be hard to replace and there’s no clear cut front runner - from a distant view - at this juncture. Whispers abound at possible replacements but nothing concrete.

Merry Christmas!

Definitely will be a growing process. Hard to replace a line like that. The biggest OL across the board that Boyle County has had since the 99-00 teams.
