One time in 8 games, Highlands has held an opponent under 20...four of eight, they've given up 35+.

 

Other than Highlands win against Campbell (which is a little puzzling), they have continued to be anything but a low level program with an exceptional history.

 

Greenwood has hardly been world beaters but I think too many on here are hearing the name "Highlands" and failing to look at their actual body of work...or history of defensive struggles against offenses that have a pulse.

Outside the fact that they are a veer team and don't pass, I know nothing about them.

 

With that said, with Huddy in the lineup, I really feel like the Birds will be able to stack the box and run man coverage in the secondary to put a stop to that veer. Birds by 28 (assuming they run Veneman deep more than 3x).

That is what happens when you have someone who has been on the losing end of a battle or battles with Highlands and is going to take the opportunity they now have to pile on. Not surprised at all to be honest, but just wonder where all of these posters will be when the tide turns back the other way.

Highlands needs a statement win here for me. Campbell County is their best win and they've played Simon Kenton close. As stated above both teams haven't really beat anybody.

They won't lose to Boone County. I saw them against Cooper last week and saw very few redeeming qualities. I'd be shocked if Highlands doesn't roll the Rebels.

This game should be no problem for Highlands. Then the Birds get a win over Boone County to end the season at 5-5. Who is Highlands set to face in the first round of the playoffs? That game will determine whether the Birds avoid back to back losing seasons.

Because of a losing season in football?!?! Are you aware that Ft. Thomas schools are repeatedly recognized as a "District of Distinction" by the KY DOE and 4 of the 5 schools have been named as a National Blue Ribbon of Excellence? That Forbes has recognized them as one of the top 25 public school districts in the country? But they should fire the administration because of the football team's record.
