Some parts of the NKY/Cincinnati area may see some frost Tuesday morning. Temps may dip into the mid to upper 30s Tuesday morning 10/18/17.

I'm ready for it to not be 80 degrees in the fall.

My leaves are literally 2-3 feet deep if I let them all fall before doing anything with them. With our yard being close to an acre that's a lot of leaves! :lol2:

I’d gladly trade you for the 100 dead ash trees I have in my back yard.

So 15 mature pin oaks with the ugliest leaves in nature or 100 dead ash trees....it is tempting.

One good cold snap and here comes full blown leaf season. Luckily after years of battling mine, I finally figured out how to take care of them. I hire a guy to push them to the edge of the street and then the city comes and sucks them all up.

I got a guy too, briggs and Stratton. Lawn mower chops em right up. :D

Hey @nWo

Is there a prediction for what type of winter we might expect this year?

With a La Nina watch being issued by the CPC we could see a slightly warmer start to the upcoming winter with it also being a little drier than normal. The back end of the winter is where things could be interesting. The chance for above normal precipitation starts in December and looks to last until March. Now let me caution everyone this doesn't necessarily mean more snow than normal. We will also have to be on the lookout for an uptick in tornadic activity. Also, each La Nina year could be different depending on the strength of La Nina. I don't know if the La Nina will be a moderate one or not but the last moderate La Nina was around 2012. That was when we had to super tornado outbreak in March of 2012.

Once again let me say this doesn't mean will see anything like that but we'll just have to wait and see. I will post updates on the winter as we get closer.

I hate the cold weather. Only good things about winter is basketball season and Christmas.

I love pin oaks!

I love pin oaks!

I like the trees fine, the leaves just go from green straight to an ugly brown. I'd prefer some color when my leaves change in the fall. I'd love to have a couple of mature maple trees, grew up with a huge one in the yard and loved the leaves this time of year.

Maples are beautiful. But if you have to park under one, it's not so fun. :lol2:

36 this morning in Booneville (Owsley Co) when I walked my dog at 7.
