Should have a SK Vs Cov Cath exhibition at the end of the season. Maybe a dodge ball game, or would SK dodge that one too??

I know SK had 2 open dates posted on the KHSSA open dates web site over the offseason. CovCath must have missed it.

There are five 6A teams better than SK in Louisville alone.

Trinity, St. X, Male, PRP ?

Before tonight I may have included Ballard but they are just to inconsistent. The rest of that district is not good.

Manual maybe, but they're very inconsistent so they are in the same category as Ballard. Butler no.

Ballard was my fifth.

I don't think Cov Cath needs to play SK. They schedule OH teams. Sycamore, Moeller, Desales, etc. Pretty sure they don't feel they are dodging SK. But is SK dodging Cov Cath? Does SK need to play Cov Cath? Probably not, but skipping the cupcakes and going for the red meat will make you stronger ; )

Would not shock me at all if Ballard beat SK in the playoffs.

What about PRP and Butler?

PRP is more likely to beat SK than Ballard. SK would beat Butler.

What about PRP and Butler?

The only way SK plays either PRP or Butler is in the state championship game. There's no way that scenario happens. A very early prognostication would call for Ballard to play at SK in round 2. If PRP did play SK this year I think PRP would win, Butler no.

HAHAHAHAHA! Simon Kenton being a factor HAHAHA! Simon Kenton is the Iowa who Kentucky High School Football plays a cupcake schedule and every now and then they beat someone they are not supposed to beat. Though really when ever they face a real team like the big 3 in Louisville we all know that Andy Dalton has a better chance of being Super Bowl MVP then Simon Kenton beating Trinity.

I guarantee SK will make the playoffs.
Three team district guarantees the 'Neers make the playoffs. :-) To answer the original question: NO!!!

I think Simon Kenton is like all the other teams in 6A, no threat to beat the top 4 - Trinity, St. X., Male and Scott County. There is a solid drop from those top 4 to the rest.

Yes they were finalizing the paperwork to play Columbus DeSales and Indy Chatard

^^This. No one from NKY is a threat in 6a. It's going to be a 1 or two team race most years, between the 4 mentioned. And it doesn't matter who any NKY 6a teams schedules during the regular season. The gap isn't small enough.

Apparently none of our kids are good enough to start at Beechwood. Hope they don't beat us too badly next week.

I think you'll be able to keep it close if you play well.
