stick1
Sounds like a great one! Any details?
Sandman32
NewCath was up 21 to 3 in the first half and totally dominated. Tigers snuck in a TD at the end of the half to make it 21-10. Then halftime and Tigers adjusted. Shut down NCC for the entire second half. Also offensively the Tigers adjusted and went on a tear that included a missed extra point or so. I wasn't sure that they were going to pull it off, you had to figure NCC would adjust sooner or later, but....
theguru
S32, What do you mean by the missed extra point comment? S32 nailed it. NCC ran all over Beechwood in the first half and in the second half NCC looked like a JV team going through the motions. It could go either way if they play again but I think you have to give a slight edge to Beechwood. The Holy Cross game should be interesting. On a side note, I watched the game on ICN6 and they did a nice job with the exception of the play by play announcer. Coach Coleman did good on color and Dan Pelstring did a real nice job as a sideline reporter. The play by play guy has talent but he was lost. FarmBoy
Congratulations to Coach Rash and his staff. They made some great adjustments at the half and took it to NCC the second half. I think I'm safe in saying NCC didn't have a first down the second half. I know the NCC faithful weren't very happy again. Play calling was nothing short of horrendous. One dimensional offenses don't go very far come playoff time. Beechwoods last TD was an awesome call. Congrats again to Beechwood and their coaching staff. cshs81
The play by play guy has talent but he was lost. That is not the first time. He doesn't seem to have a grasp of NKY ball and he's obviously not a BGPer.
cshs81
If I'm picking a team, Beechwood's Pete K. is on it. That was about as athletic of a catch as you can make to win a game.

I have known Petie since kindergarten. He was always the kid with the most ribbons on field day. His uncle was on the first Beechwood team to make it to state in 1974. A very nice, good hearted young man as well. We are proud to call him a home grown Tiger. I was personally stunned after the first half. Could not be more proud of my Tigers and the comeback they made. Congratulations to coach Rash and his boys!:fight:
futurecoach
Congrats to Beechwood on a good win. And hats off to the Beechwood coaching staff, this is now two weeks in a row where their defense had a tough time stopping the other teams offense in the first half, but then after halftime they come out and make adjustments and then completely shut down the other teams offense. This just shows why Beechwood has been so great for so long and that is that they have great coaches...
SportsGuy41017
If I'm picking a team, Beechwood's Pete K. is on it. That was about as athletic of a catch as you can make to win a game. I didn't get to see the end of the game, as I had to head off to work after the Tigers tied the game at 21 all. But how about Pete's openning kickoff return? too bad they were only able to get 3 after that huge return. Watching that first half I never thought Beechwood would stop Vickers in the second half. I agree, the HC game will be very interesting. (Maybe Coach Coleman can start doing the play-by-play)
weasel91
I predicted a close win for the Beechies with a big game from Kayiotos. Sounds like I was right on. If Beechwood is going to go far into the playoffs this year, Pete K. is going to have to be the player he was tonight. They cannot ride Bankamper alone into Louisville this year. Good game tonight Beechies.
HHSDawgs1424
I am somewhat surprised at the score of this game. I thought Beechwood would really take it to NCC. They showed a lot of heart and pride being able to come back after getting down though. IMO Holy Cross is the best 1A NKY team right now. (I never thought I'd say that in my lifetime)
Guest Bluto
Congrats to Beechwood. Sounds like a great come-from-behind win. That would have been a great game to see.

Beechwoodfan
I stopped watching the game at halftime now im kicking myself for not watching the rest of it. I almost left at half time. Definately glad I stayed! That touchdown late in the second quarter was the only thing that kept me there. The game will be on ICN 6 today at 2:00. You can see what you missed! I noticed the crowd last night was about half of what it normally is for this game. Usually there is standing room only. I wonder how much the live broadcast has hurt ticket sales.
