Selfish as hell. I mean, the team won. He's young, hopefully he learns to stay off social media for a day or so after games.

To those complaining in the update thread about lack of updates...if you have a smart phone download the iHeartRadio ap and you can listen to the games in 680am out of Lexington.

 

Really? Or the ESPN app, or the Score app, or the FoxSports app, or the UK Athletics app. How can you check your phone to get on this website but can't go anywhere else where you can find play-by-play stats?

Not a great game but they're 1-0. Defense looked pretty good against an athletic team with a really good RB.

Can somebody help me with the measurement that was ruled a first down for Southern Miss? Was that even close? Is it the stick or the last link in the chain, because the ball was short of the stick.

Also, how was the Ito Smith fumble not even reviewed? There was a timeout (can't remember if it was for injury or called and they don't even review it? It was close enough to review and may have been a fumble.

Barker is the better QB. The wildcat stuff isn't going to work this year.

I agree. It was cute for a while last year, but they won't win 6 games this year running it.

I thought the same thing. It looked short. The white hat didn't even line himself up with the sticks to get a good look. The ref holding the ball even looked up as if to see if he was going to give it a closer look.

I was only able to watch the second half after someone at our clubhouse was finally able to get it on his laptop, but the second half Cat performance wasn't anything to get excited about. They'll get chewed up this year in the conference.

Remember, they lost to Southern Miss last season, then finished 7-5

The UK defense forced a bunch of turnovers. The O-Line has got some work to do though. A win on the road to open the season is all that counts. I actually thought the QB Johnson was better today with the short passes. Why they didn't go back to the TE Conrad in the 2nd half I'll never know. Go Cats!

They had Hart in the game at TE a lot in the second half and threw it to him twice, and he dropped both of them. Aside from Conrad, the receivers for Southern Miss looked better than the UK receivers.

Remember in college they often look at and confirm many plays via replay that never get commented on. Why disrupt the flow of the game? If they review and its confirmed before next snap, no action. If they haven't finished review OR they are going to overturn before next snap, they'll buzz the white hat. (At least that's the way I think it works.)
