September 1, 20179 yr A win is a win but Bearcats on the struggle bus all night. Stopped Austin Peay on 4th and 1 from the 5 yard line with 1:30 left or this one would have become very uncomfortable. Need a better effort next week against Michigan obviously. But new coach so hopefully the jitters are gone.
September 1, 20179 yr It's going to take a while. UC fans need to patient. Only so much Fickell can do without his guys. UC will win one or two games this year they shouldn't and will make their way into a bowl game. They will do just enough to keep you pumped for next year. The hardest part is done. They've found the right guy.
September 1, 20179 yr 28 consecutive loss for Peay, I'm shocked they were in it late. I haven't kept up with the Governors for a while, but they are typically at the bottom of the cellar when it comes to FCS football.
September 1, 20179 yr First game. I wouldn't judge too much from it. In 2007, USF struggled with Elon in the opener, then upset Auburn the following week.

September 1, 20179 yr So UC is going to knock off Michigan next week? Sweet! Why not? Anything can happen. Ask Appalachian State. One must have faith.
September 1, 20179 yr Overall just not a lot of talent on the offensive side of the ball at this point. There is no deep threat outside and it is hard to march down the field if you only have a few bullets in the chamber. Mike Denbrock has his work cut out for him in the first season as OC...

That makes losing Meechi to KY even worse. I agree talent is down, Fick is gonna have to win more 50/50 battles vs Marrow.
September 2, 20179 yr One of the best college cheers in the country, "let's go Peay" I know another good cheer for Rice University.
September 2, 20179 yr That makes losing Meechi to KY even worse. I agree talent is down, Fick is gonna have to win more 50/50 battles vs Marrow. Xavier Peters, Reigelsperger, and Tyler Bentley all in attendance Thurs night.
