I'll blatantly disagree here. The offensive play calling is horrible. The defensive scheme is begging for your offense to need to score 50 to win.

Now hold on...many of us said we felt that ranking was too high this early in the season. I think there are a lot of examples where people mistake others as being HHS fans. Not saying some weren't gloating about it. I have no idea. But I do know there were many that questioned it as well.

 

But just for giggles....what other NKY team wouldn't get whipped by SC this year other than Cov Cath and MAYBE SK. (Which would still get beat but maybe not whipped)

Unlike most chiming in, I was at the game... Regardless of score, refs were an embarrassment. Watch the tape and disagree. I dare ya. I wouldn't have let highlands back on the field for a long while after the the strip by hhs player on kick off second half to protest. Highlands lost Schwalbach, Huber, Cramer, etc to injury.... Scratch my eyes out offensive play calling by HHS two different series at the goal line. Running three straight times with sophomore rb thrown in with zero varsity experience after Schwalbach injury.....when pass game was showing major success... Was, well, scratch your eyes out awful! GO TO UPPER CLASSMEN in that spot! Game should have been 27-21 at half.... Awful play calling by hhs and refs caused 14 pt swing. Hhs can't beat this team.... 4-1 school size will do that to you...Hhs moved the ball and didn't finish.... And yes, they are top three in Nky... Time will prove it.... My last implore.... Use the pass to open up the run.... Huber and Cramer, both at 6'3 could "Gronk" it at will.... That opens up the run and Venneman on the outside.

I'm rolling with LA on this one. And you said "THEY". You provided one example and we're not even sure he's a Highlands fan.

I mean, we sure as hell aren't satisfied with the worst two highlands teams we have seen in 50+ years......back to back.

 

This year remains to be seen, but the days of "We didn't win state so we are going to riot" are over. And every current fan of this team is aware of that.

Yep, high expectations. But you know that going in. It's not like you're surprised when it happens. You know EXACTLY what you are getting into when you take the job.

 

Would there be high expectations taking the Trinity job? The X job? Male? BG? And others with lines of success?

Last year we were within a point and had a two point conversion fail to win it. This year being a new year, new team I would not expect the same result as last year. Honestly no-one in NKY beats SC this year. Losing by 51 and people are saying they are competitive? In what world? We lost by less than that to CCH are we are hammered as being awful. I totally get supporting your teams, I do. The bravado though... lol it's the dishonest bravado that gets me. It's all good. We get to see next week, that's why we play the games my friend. Some will have to pull their heads out of where their opinions originate and the winners get to poke the bear and get's bragging rights.
