Receiving 11 kickoffs is never good.

Chose SC as the tiebreaker in the NKY Contest. Hope that 71 holds up.

I believe Scott county can win the aforementioned games with the Ohio teams.

They seem to be the real deal.

71-20 = 18 pts loss. That was sarcasm I hope!

Common core...

Sounds like HHS is REALLY beat up right now. My buddy Ham (stat guru) told me that 5-6 defensive starters did not play due to injury...I was not there. I believe they are better than last year but not great by any means. I would like to see them at full strength (or at least to full strength) to be able to tell.

Thanks for posting, colonel-fan.

Interesting to see the breakdown.

HHS with 69 plays to SC 51.

HHS 337 yds to SC 564.

HHS 244 passing to SC 154.

HHS 133 rushing to SC 410.

Looking at these numbers makes you think the game was closer than the score indicated...and what it looked like on the field.

It screams that Scott Co had a shorter field quite a bit due to turnovers and/or poor special team play. 10 true possessions, all end in TDs with 560 yards...but 11 yards per play???

Looking at those numbers does not make me think that at all. When I see a team give up over 400 yards rushing in a game, I am not going to think the team who gave that up was to competitive. Especially when I see Highlands ran more plays. Usually teams who run for a lot of yards would definitely had run more plays than the opposing team. What this tells me is SC must have been ripping off big chunks of yards on runs and scoring quick and not needing to run many plays to score even while running. That tells me domination not competitive. The score and stats both show that. Just cause Highlands offense did good doesn't mean it's competitive if the defense never stops the opposing team. Giving up 10 tds in 11 possessions is not being competitive.

It happens we all have been there before. Own it, learn from it, and move on. No need to try to rationalize it. A team can have a rough game like that and still have a good year.
