August 8, 20179 yr As a very young lad in the 60's I remember always watching Concentration with host Hugh Downs and Jeopardy with host Art Fleming and announcer Don Pardo. A couple of others I remember were You Don't Say with Tom Kennedy and Supermarket Sweep. Those were flat out classic!!!! Hugh Downs and Art Fleming...two of the best!!!
August 8, 20179 yr Monty Hall from Let's Make a Deal is 95, soon to be 96 on August 25th. Bob Barker from The Price is Right, and Truth or Consequences is 93. Wink Martindale from Tic-Tac-Dough and others is 83. Peter Marshall from The Hollywood Squares is 91. Bob Eubanks from The Newlywed Game is 79. LEGENDS!!!! I grew up watching these guys.
August 8, 20179 yr I watch Cash Cab and the old 25,000 Pyramid on Game Show Network. Used to love Tic Tac Dough, Jokers Wild, and Hot Potato several years ago.
August 8, 20179 yr "Welcome, welcome, welcome from your DeSoto-Plymouth dealer. Say the Secret Word ..."
August 8, 20179 yr If you didn't watch The Price is Right any time you were home sick from school, you weren't really home sick from school.
August 8, 20179 yr I'm a game show freak. There weren't too many that I didn't like. I watched them all. Concentration The Joker's Wild Sale of the Century High Rollers Gambit Match Game Tattletales $25,000 Pyramid Newlywed Game Tic Tac Dough(Wink Martindale) Let's Make a Deal(Monty Hall) Password(w/ Allen Ludden) Hollywood Squares To Tell the Truth Truth or Consequences(Bob Barker) Jeopardy(w/ Art Fleming) ... and that was just my morning lineup!!! How can you forget "Card Sharks"? By the way, I LOVED "$25,000 Pyramid", the "Newlywed Game", and "Tic Tac Dough" when I was a kid. Old "Family Feud" with Richard Dawson was great too.
August 8, 20179 yr I admit I like watching Steve Harvey on Family Feud. There will never be another Richard Dawson, but Steve is just funny. His bit when Snoop was on there with his family was pretty dang funny. I do like Cash Cab. Some pretty bright New Yorkers on that show often
August 8, 20179 yr I loved Millionaire. When it was at its height of popularity, it was a great show. :thumb:
August 8, 20179 yr When it was at its height of popularity, it was a great show. :thumb: Yep, Prime Time Millionaire was great!
August 8, 20179 yr Anyone remember the old early 70's game show 3's a Crowd. Similar in premise to the Newlywed Game but there was a guy with his wife a secretary competing to match his answers. Questions were of course risqué and secretary generally gave answers the wife didn't like. I'd bet half of the contestants ended up divorced. I think it only lasted one or two seasons, probably because they couldn't find anyone dumb enough to go back on that show.
August 8, 20179 yr So many to name. Jeopardy is my all time favorite, but Family Feud with Harvey is great. Lingo was the most underrated show of all time.
August 8, 20179 yr When it was at its height of popularity, it was a great show. :thumb: A guy from Dixie H.S. won six-figures on that show back in the day.
August 8, 20179 yr I'm not big on game shows but Price Is Right is the best IMO. Then there is a large gap between the rest: Jeopardy, Press Your Luck, and Sale Of The Century
