Favorite TV Game Shows

Featured Replies

Sort of a revival with Match Game, Pyramid, Battle of Network Stars back on TV now with new versions. And the Game Show Network is going strong although they show too much Family Feud.

Your favorite game shows of all-time? And under-rated ones?

For me it is Match Game and The Price is Right as best. Celebrity Game Night is pretty good too.

BTW anyone in NKY/Cincy area ever appear on Its Academic or Play It Safe?

I loved Millionaire.

Family Fued, Password, Old Matchgame reruns, Pyramid and Jokers Wild are some I enjoy.

I like The Wall, currently and 1 vs 100.

Gene Gene the dancing machine.^

ESPN Classic did a marathon of these a few weeks back. Howard Cosell at the mic, just eating up the chance to interview superstar actress babes of the time such as Donna Mills, Charlene Tilton, Lynda Carter and such.

Gabe Kaplan was ever-present, as was the great Robert Conrad — an outstanding athlete, too.

Saw one with Dan Hagerty throwing sweet TD passes to Jon from CHIPS.

I'm a game show freak. There weren't too many that I didn't like. I watched them all.

Concentration

The Joker's Wild

Sale of the Century

High Rollers

Gambit

Match Game

Tattletales

$25,000 Pyramid

Newlywed Game

Tic Tac Dough(Wink Martindale)

Let's Make a Deal(Monty Hall)

Password(w/ Allen Ludden)

Hollywood Squares

To Tell the Truth

Truth or Consequences(Bob Barker)

Jeopardy(w/ Art Fleming)

... and that was just my morning lineup!!!

The only one that I watch semi-regularly is Jeopardy.

The only ones that I presently watch are Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud, and the new music related one Beat Shazam, with Jeopardy and Beat Shazam the ones that I make a point of watching more religiously.

Press your luck you wammies.

There was one contestant who figured out how to beat that game when spinning the big board. He won a boatload of money. Producers thought he had cheated but had to write him a check when it was determined that what he had done(he memorized patterns) was not illegal.

As a very young lad in the 60's I remember always watching Concentration with host Hugh Downs and Jeopardy with host Art Fleming and announcer Don Pardo.

A couple of others I remember were You Don't Say with Tom Kennedy and Supermarket Sweep.

Monty Hall from Let's Make a Deal is 95, soon to be 96 on August 25th.
