Shoes.

You go cheap on them? I tend to be cheap-ish when it comes to shoes too...but my work boots through that off all together.

I do. Don't understand how people spend hundreds of dollars on shoes when you can get a perfectly good pair for ~$45.

Vehicles. Have never had a new car, but have never paid more than $10k for one either.

Shoes and clothes. Since I retired 9 years ago virtually everything I buy is from thrift stores and yard sales.

Vacations. Pretty much always stay with family in St. Augustine.

I always go cheap on sunglasses. I've seen too many friends and people in general lose designer brand shades to water and tires and unruly fans. I'll occasionally splurge on a $10 pair when I'm feeling particularly trendy.

Sports, Played softball for about 15 years and traveled to many different locations and states and spent way too much. Now, I travel with the Royals every they go and alot with the Lady Royals. I also buy an older Baseball Cards every one in a while.

Hotels. I just got back from a trip up to the Northeast. I drove. First night, I stayed at a Days Inn in Pennsylvania for less than $100. Clean room...comfortable bed...HBO...free Wi-Fi...hot free breakfast. The next two nights were at my destination in a Hilton (where the conference was held in New Jersey). $150 per night. Breakfast buffet was $20. Had to pay for Wi-Fi. Bed felt the same as the Days Inn and was smaller. Not worth it in my book.
