UK hosting South Carolina picked up for ESPN2

Featured Replies

Hopefully the 'Cats will be coming off a big win versus the Chippies and will have a chance, at home, to show the Nation that UK football is on its way back. This game, versus the Gamecocks, has been picked up by The Deuce (not the drumming version) for a 7:00 pm National TV Audience.

Let's hope UK is coming off a win and ready to make a statement versus Spurrier's boys in Commonwealth. :thumb:

:thumb: Thanks for the info. This could be the game that takes them another step in the direction they want to go.

Would be nice to see them steal this one.

I'm not so sure the Gamecocks are a lot better than UK

A huge game for recruiting if UK can win.

Have to worry about CMU first, if we lose that game, then South Carolina is a must win.

I'm afraid they both may be must wins the way Vandy has played thus far. Their QB is the typical UK killer, i.e. Brent Schaeffer.

Ar the beginning of the season I wasn't sure if the South Carolina game was one of those winnable games, but now I think it is. CM is worries me more. If we can get by them. A 7 win season is realistic and possible. I agree with the earlier post though. We must worry about CM first.

I am going to be at that game I bought my tickets yesterday. I look forward to watching us beat the Gamecocks. I truly believe that we will be 4-2 when we head to Death Valley.

Brent Schaeffer didn't exactly kill us...we did win the game. :D

But, I get your point.

Me either. Especially at home. South Carolina is in dangerous spot there. They have Spurrier, so they have more going for them. They're kind of in between, not as good as the big boys in the SEC, but supposed to be better than the UK's of the world. I could see them looking over this game a little, which would be to our benefit.

I think at home, UK has a great chance to win this game. And they should come out motivated to play, so hopefully that won't be a problem.

This game is a must in order to have a winning season. It is a game that I think UK can win and just as easily lose as well. Hopefully they will come out ready to play but I agree the Cent. Michigan game is far more important as of today.

I wouldn't say they are a lot better, but this will be a tough game no matter how you look at it.

For as much of a disaster as UK football is, having 3 of their first 6 games nationally televised is pretty sweet.

Could someone that knows post UK's all-time national television record? They show it on TV all of the time and its seems like its something like 20-70-1. I could be wrong. Hopefully they can improve a bit on that record against South Carolina.
