They acted ticked off because it backfired on Cody and they didn't want to look in any way associated with Paul. If Paul was not safe, he would have been out week 1. Plus he had a really good reason to not tell anyone his plan in the first place.

Neither of our opinions are fact though... My opinion is based on the players in this game and how they just float to whoever has the power and abide by their wishes. Raven, Matt, Elena, Mark, and Jess all would have voted Paul out in my opinion because they all wanted to keep the showmances strong. I don't think Paul has or had anyone in his pocket like he did Victor last year. He has these people following him this year, because he has never relinquished power this whole game. He has been great at using Josh's ignorance to keep the target on Jess and Cody and Mark and Elena as secondary targets. Paul is really good at this game, he knows how to manipulate people and how to make every decision appear like it's a group effort or someone else's idea, but everything after week 1 has went exactly according to Paul's plan. Cody saw this, because he isn't an idiot like the rest of the house. You can disagree with his move all you want, but if he didn't get Paul out early, you might as well hand him $500,000 which is essentially what is happening.

here's the part you aren't getting. I agree with Cody in trying to get him out early. His critical and eventually game ending error was not letting the people he was working with know his plan. There was an instant feeling of being lied to injected into his game from the 1st full eviction. He is the one who made those he was trying to work with feel like he was shady and capable of going totally off the deep end on any one of them right as the game started. Caping for him is having as little clue how this game works and is twice as bad as the same people complaining this season sucks. It is Cody and by association Jessica's fault from the start...

He didn't know who was with Paul in the game and who wasn't, he couldn't risk that info getting back to Paul. The bigger mistake was ticking Christmas off. He should have put up an "outsider" as he called some people at the beginning.

What no one has mentioned is how Codys HOH was screwed up by the number of people he had to nominate. no HOH ever has had to nominate that many people during an HOH. Megan left he had to nominate someone, POV he had to nominate someone who happened to have safety. Not to mention several people had safety as well and couldn't be nominated, he basically nominated more than half the eligible houseguest. Screwed from the get go IMO.

I couldn't agree with this more. Paul automatically had an advantage over everyone else because he had played before. Add to that an advantage that he got because of his fanbase right off the bat and finally add the fans of his in the house with him and the odds are definitely stacked in his favor. Use Survivor as an example, does Boston Rob win on his 4th try if not for the fan-boy behavior some of his tribe displayed early on?

 

In competitions like this if you're going to use returning players then it needs to be all or none.

Christmas squandered a huge opportunity to take Alex out and also cripple Jason's chances at winning. I really don't understand putting Mark up because his leaving does not help her at all.:idunno:

It wouldn't surprise me for all of the guest to throw the HoH and let Paul win. That said, the last thing Paul needs to do is win HoH. Just let the others do his dirty work and keep his hands clean.

If they vote Mark out, that would only leave Alex & Jason who have really won anything all season, obviously excluding Paul. If I'm Paul, I would take Josh and Raven to the final 3 as well.

 

1. Christmas won because Paul let her.

2. Josh did win an HOH, but it a contest that was strictly based on luck.

3. Matt has been a total disappointment as a competitor and has done nothing.

4. Raven has done nothing.

5. Kevin has done nothing.

He still has Kevin as the odd man to target and maintain all three of his threesomes if he does happen to win HOH. He may have a difficult time justifying it to Christmas and Josh, but Jason and Alex are all about it. Matt and Raven really aren't even worth mentioning, but as long as they can coast another week I'm confident they'd be okay with it.
