August 18, 20179 yr Because he didn't have the votes to get him out and if you're going to go after someone as influential and convincing as Paul is, which he had to know from last season, you better have the votes to do it before you make the move.He had the whole house on his side.
August 18, 20179 yr Because Paul had 3 weeks of safety. Go with Paul and make Jess and Cody the targets or go against Paul when he was on offense for 3 weeks. It would be stupid to go with Jess and Cody at this point. You're completely missing the point. Forget about the safety. Let's say it didn't exist and Paul went on the block. No one in the alliance, outside of maybe Mark, was voting Paul out.
August 18, 20179 yr He had the whole house on his side. No he didn't. The alliance was Cody, Jess, Mark, Elena, Raven, Matt, Christmas, Dom, and Paul. When he attempted to nominate one of his own, they fractured and the alliance went away.
August 18, 20179 yr You're completely missing the point. Forget about the safety. Let's say it didn't exist and Paul went on the block. No one in the alliance, outside of maybe Mark, was voting Paul out. Especially if you consider the way that he went about it. Cody was an idiot. You don't blindside your entire alliance, especially on week one, when no one really knows you yet or trust you yet to begin with.
August 18, 20179 yr Especially if you consider the way that he went about it. Cody was an idiot. You don't blindside your entire alliance, especially on week one, when no one really knows you or trust you to begin with. Exactly. So who is the alliance going to side with? The guy who went rogue and nominated one of his supposed allies, or the alliance member that was blindsided by a guy that clearly isn't loyal to the alliance? Give Paul a week to work his game in those circumstances and there's no chance he gets voted out.
August 18, 20179 yr It was a terrible move. Even if he wouldn't have had the safety, the house wasn't going to vote out Paul because he was a member of their alliance. Since when did making horrible decisions mean someone is playing the game? You asked what game moves had they made. That's been about the one move made in 2 months
August 18, 20179 yr You asked what game moves had they made. That's been about the one move made in 2 months Fair enough. Josh tried to get the votes to evict Elena over Jess before she went bat crazy on him. So at best Cody's game play was equal to Josh's.
August 18, 20179 yr If Paul does not have safety and can go on the block, I think he goes home simply because he's a vet. The alliance would have been fractured though since Cody went rogue.
August 18, 20179 yr Fair enough. Josh tried to get the votes to evict Elena over Jess before she went bat crazy on him. So at best Cody's game play was equal to Josh's. Don't agree with that. Josh is making a move but Elena is not much of a threat
August 18, 20179 yr Don't agree with that. Josh is making a move but Elena is not much of a threat We'll have to agree to disagree. Both made an attempt at a failed move. The only difference is Cody's failure destroyed his game.
August 18, 20179 yr If Paul does not have safety and can go on the block, I think he goes home simply because he's a vet. The alliance would have been fractured though since Cody went rogue. No way. Cody wouldn't have been able to repair the damage he did because he's got the personality and social game of a brick wall. Paul would've had the entire week to play the victim that got back stabbed again (after last season) by his alliance. I'd wager a large sum of money he'd have been successful. We'll never know, but I don't see any way he would've went home.
August 18, 20179 yr ****SPOILER**** (Highlight below to see who apparently is the new HOH) Christmas has apparently won HOH.
August 18, 20179 yr You're completely missing the point. Forget about the safety. Let's say it didn't exist and Paul went on the block. No one in the alliance, outside of maybe Mark, was voting Paul out. They all were voting Paul out.
August 18, 20179 yr No he didn't. The alliance was Cody, Jess, Mark, Elena, Raven, Matt, Christmas, Dom, and Paul. When he attempted to nominate one of his own, they fractured and the alliance went away. People really liked Cody before he tried to blindside Paul. I think the dislike for Cody started because they had no choice but to cling to the other strong player who had safety for 3 weeks. Paul disliked Cody, so they ALL disliked Cody.
August 18, 20179 yr Jess would have been able to convince everyone that Paul should've won last year. Why would we let him fool us into letting him do it two years in a row.
