Well, they are human, and they will make mistakes just like others do.

Most learn after a mistake, or two, or three...

If they don't, they usually end up in prison.

Cut Him. I'm sick of the thugs on the Bengals roster.
I don't think you cut him. He's young. He needs help definitely. When someone in your family needs help you don't just cut them loose, you get them the help they need and are crying out for and you get them better.

I just hope there's someone there to take him under his wings. Like Carson did with Henry.

Maybe Willie, maybe Simmons? Someone....hopefully.

Thurman was arrested at an overnight sobriety checkpoint. He was the driver (although not his car).

Yes, Chris Henry was involved as well but not arrested.

5:00 in the morning. Odell was due to come back to the team this week.

Unreal.

Who Dey Gonna Arrest Next?

Who dey think gonna beat them Bengals? Looks like the police.

Carson didn't exactly take Henry under his wings and he made a point of letting that be known. Palmer simply talked to Henry about it but in the end said that CH is his own man and will make his own decisions. Also, if CH was with Odell, I doubt he was totally innocent of any wrong-doing although I'm happy he came out clean. On a side note, I guess McNeal didn't get the message that these two might not be the ones he wants to be rolling with.

Odd that they had a checkpoint out there on a Sunday night. It is near the area near Annie's though. As I was watching the Bengals game and watching Henry I said we need to tie him to a coach to make sure he doesn't do anything wrong anymore, that we can't afford another Stanley Wilson episode down the line. You would think, if you have a lot of money, which they do, if they had too much to drink that they would call someone? pay someone to take them home? Well, they are human, and they will make mistakes just like others do.

Checkpoint was due to a large percentage of deaths in that area over the last couple of years being attributed to alcohol. It just so happens that these guys were trolling at Annies on Disco/College night.. looking for some easy young girls and got caught in the mess. It doesnt excuse it but when you have immature guys at that age with that kind of money wanting to celebrate a huge win... you are going to get DUI's.

Odell is just dumb... I think he probably has a double digit IQ....Henry is right along there with him...probably thought he couldnt get in trouble if he isnt driving. When will these guys learn that you cannot get arrested at 4 AM when you are sleeping in your own bed.

I think you have to get Odell help....he has shown poor judgement and he needs an ultimatum. If you let him go.. he will just get picked up by another team and come back to haunt you. Its a problem across the league and you cant throw in the towel but you can demand he get help and give him one more chance.

Another view of this is the influence they place on the younger players. Being around Thurman and Henry, chance you are going to be in big trouble at some point.

Do you worry about McNeal and what he might becoming involved in since it was his vehicle? Are these two knuckleheads influencing him?

If you keep them, do they end up bringing another of your team along with them? The unknowns in this situation are troubling.

Some where the Bengals are going to have to draw the line in the sand! It's this way or you are out of here! I don't give a darn how well Henry has been playing. There are a lot of guys in the league that can beat one on one coverage without the headaches! This is the gamble Cincy took. They have reaped the benefits on the field and dealt with the program looking like the Trail Blazers off the field. I guess that's what happens when you dance with the devil.

They're all the same age - 23.

I was thinking more along the lines of you keep them and next year's rookie class and then if they continue on the same path, the next year's rookie class. How many strikes do they get?

If any of us were unable to perform our job for the next year, (possibility of it for Thurman) how many of us would have that job in a year?
