Why are they waiting a week to play the first game?

Finals are scheduled in advance because it is on network TV, a lot of promotion and advertisers need to know exactly when it will be. There was room built in in case every series went 7 games, that it would still start on the same date.

I voted wrong...I meant Cavs in 6.

Game 1. Warriors win comfortably 15+

Game 2. Cleveland wins a tight game

Game 3. Cleveland wins easily 10+

Game 4. Cleveland wins (maybe OT) very tight

Game 5. Warriors win easily 10+

Game 6. Cleveland wins Series

Warriors take it in six but I think we'll see five very good games. I think Thompson is the X factor in the series, he's so due for a huge game or two, Thompson on the Cleveland side should also have a monsters series since GS has no physicality in the paint. I can't wait, I wish game 1 was on Sunday.

I expect it to go 6-7 games, No way either of these teams get put away in 4-5 games. I want to see LeBron repeat and get his 4th ring, but my mind is telling me Golden State takes it this season. Regardless who wins it, I hope we see 7 games.

The only reason this series goes more than 4 games is because the NBA is rigged and they need the advertising $$$.

I didn't know my father in law was on BGP.

It seems crazy because Lebron is the best player on the planet. But this has Warriors in 5 written all over it.

Big big question marks here. My gut says Warriors in 5 or more likely 6, but I wouldn't be shocked by the Cavs pulling it out in 7. Kyrie and Kevin are playing much better right now than they were at this time last year, KD has no finals experience and Steph has seemed to be absent these last 2 finals series. JR Smith and Korver will have to be playing their best ball all the time for Cleveland to win...

One thing I do know, if the Cavs do win this series, then I will no longer have any doubt about who the GOAT is. If you can beat the last 3 MVPs I think that's a big factor.

2012

Warriors in 5. Cleveland gets one game at home.

It's unbelievable that Lebron is an underdog (in Vegas) again in the finals. He has been the betting underdog in 6 of his 8 finals appearances. The only two that he has been favored in is 2011 vs the Mavericks and 2013 vs the Spurs.

Saw something today on Twitter that since 2011-2012, Lebrons Finals results have been the same as Alabama Football's last game. That doesn't bode well for CLE if the trend continues.

I still won't think he is the GOAT even if he wins this year. MJ beat MVPs in the finals(Barkley, Malone) also but he couldn't beat 3 straight MVPs because he was actually the MVP. I understand why most folks think LeBron is or will be the GOAT but to put it simply he has never dominated the NBA the way MJ did.

I'm in this camp.

I hope the refs allow the teams to play fluidly. Last year the play got too physical (big advantage Cleveland) making it bad to watch at times. The final minutes of Game 7, for all of its drama, was captivating because neither team could score a basket.

Both teams have the ability to create bad match-up problems for the other.
