Everyone knew he wasn't going to keep an ERA below 2. That wasn't the point of my post. My point is you always like to degrade a Reds prospect while you always build up Red Sox prospects. He'll have even more bad outings. My argument is I believe Garrett is a legit prospect, while your post always make it seem like all Reds prospects are the 2nd coming of Scott Scudder.

I never said he wasn't a legit prospect. I said that given his velocity that he would have a fairly significant drop off. I said that he wouldn't be awful. I think he'll be a good 3-4 starter in the big leagues with a 3.75-4.25 ERA. I don't think he's a 1-2 starter given his stuff. I like his makeup and approach but he's not overpowering. He'll have nights line last night that will make his ERA climb but he should keep them in the game most nights.

Love it. A Scott Scudder reference.

How impressive was Hernandez last night in his debut. That guy has some serious stuff.

When you throw 100 and that's your 2nd best pitch you have some serious stuff. Just needs to keep throwing strikes.

Who is this Thames guy and why does he rake against us?

Thames played in Korea the last few years and was killing it over there. I bid and won him in my fantasy baseball league expecting him to be at least a 20 20 guy this year. So far more power and less speed than I expected but I am not shocked by what he is doing.

He's going to be the next guy to get busted for 80 games IMO...

Could be. Do they have any testing program in Korea?

He apparently was tested over there and was already tested by the MLB. The dude is yoked tho.

At least Thames is 0 for 2 at the moment. Something positive.

Thames is on pace for 25 homeruns...

Against the Reds.

Brewers are embarrassing the Reds. We can't hit or pitch. Other than that, we're not to bad.
