April 14, 20179 yr I was at the Garden on January 2, 1990 when Jamal Walker's jumper as time expired lifted Xavier to a 115-113 victory over Loyola Marymount.
April 14, 20179 yr I lived in Cincinnati briefly in 1959-1960 so my memories were the old professional wrestling cards they held there. Sometimes they would get a special night and have 10-12 matches with some of the matches going best two-of-falls. A long night of entertainment with an inexpensive price and cheap refreshments. Of course, I still get nostalgic about Crosley Field and the all day trips to the zoo. For a country kid like me (Burnside) Cincinnati was an exciting adventure in those days.

April 15, 20179 yr I loved the Gardens, Larkin, Hill, Strong, Grant plus many others, such nostalgia. Once they left, the Cyclones made for great ECHL hockey. Currently it has really hurt the high school teams, I don't believe Cincinnati has many other options for ice.

For this one game at least, it was a great atmosphere and two very, very good teams. This is the year Loyola went to the final 8 in the NCAA tourny only to lose to UNLV, like everyone else. At the time I was either playing with or against some of the Wolfe (sp) brother's in various CRC and other leagues around the city. Great times.
April 15, 20179 yr I saw quite a few wrastling matches there as a kid which included junkyard dog, Andre the Giant, and Jimmy Valiant. Went to plenty of gun and knife shows. I saw Alice Cooper, David Lee Roth, Iron Maiden, Hank Williams JR all in concert there. Plus many more things I have fogotten over the years. A lot of memories there.

April 15, 20179 yr I was also there for the first Westlemania on closed circuit and a Madonna concert.
April 15, 20179 yr I met Savio Vega, Rikishi Fatu, and a young blue blood names Hunter Hearst Helmsley after he lost a "slop" match to the "Pig Farmer" Henry O. Godwin.
April 15, 20179 yr The Gardens is where I saw Andre the Giant wrestle against Ric Flair. Awesome experience.
April 15, 20179 yr Enjoyed watching Cyclones hockey at the Gardens. Place always had a very "distinct" spilled beer and dank smell to it! :lol2:
