Good call. I've lost count of how many times I've seen that movie. Very emotional. Gets me every time.

I had almost the exact same experience at the very same age. My sister, who is sixteen months younger than me, balled also. It was a very emotional movie for an eleven year-old and, as I said before, still gets to me today.

I've seen this movie at least 20 times and I get chills every single time.

Was at a conference once where they had those "Hi, My Name is....." tags .........and a guy wrote on his "Inigo Montoya (You killed my father. Prepare to die)"

 

Only about 10% of the attendees "got it".

Just finished watching (for the umpteenth time) the episode of MASH when Henry Blake is sent home.

 

The ending still chokes me up.

 

When they filmed that scene, the actors had been told the real ending only 30 minutes earlier. The grief they displayed as they filmed it was real.

I am also always moved by Col. Potter's toast to his old comrades from WWI, when he was informed that he was the last survivor.
