Best WR in College Football

My list, in this order.

 

Calvin Johnson

Ted Ginn Jr.

Dwayne Jarrett

Jeff Samardzjia

Mario Manningham (Most underrated threat in college football)

I don't think that Ginn has proven anything as a receiver yet. Manningham needs to have more than one big game against the Irish, IMO.

He has, his Freshman year, he had 433 yards on 26 Rec, 6 TD's and one was the game winner against an undefeated Penn St team...

I was about to say the same thing. The potential is definitely there. However, he has to improve his route running and be able to get off the line a little better before he becomes an elite receiver and not just an elite athlete.

I'd maybe take Ginn's potential over all of the guys on that list. Remember, this is Ted Ginn's first season playing wide receiver. He's not there yet, but by the end of the year he might be.

I haven't seen the bad receiver Ginn for awhile now. He has 5 TD's already this year and we all know about how he torched ND last year. He has improved a lot and is here to stay.

He was full-time opposite Santonio Holmes last year.

Ginn is, without a doubt, the most exciting player to watch, but I dont think he has good enough hands to be a big time receiver in the NFL. I look for him to be kickoff return, maybe punt return, and a wideout on 3rd and long, or come in as a slot receiver to run reverse plays.

Yeah, but how many of those were when he just blew past the DB by 5-10 yards, and TS just threw it up to him....probably all of them.

I agree, Ginn has a special speed, but I don't think he's a big game guy. I would take Jarrett over him.

 

At this point, I don't think Urrutia is a top five guy... but he aint half bad for a redshirt soph is he?

 

I think before he comes out for the draft Urrutia will be one of the best, if not the best, at his position.

 

Keenan Burton is certainly a top ten guy, and I would be tempted to put him right behind those top 5 guys.
