My Company is based in California. You can barely find bottled water in the building. It's not very green to have all of that plastic.

That is an important point. There is no guaranty that the water in the plastic bottles is as "pure" as the companies would have you believe.

Have fun drinking water straight outta the Ohio Freakin' River. You realize what gets dumped into its feeder streams down in the mountains? You realize how many dead bodies make their way in there? Louisville water can't be filtered enough.

 

 

 

Lots of places have crummy tap water and, at best, need to be filtered a bunch before consumption is advisable. Bardstown tap water is awful. All the good water is being used for whiskey. I've seen bathtubs and sinks in places around the state, especially EKY, that are so rusty you drink the water at your own risk.

 

Best tap water in Ky comes from that big aquifer under Northern Ky, centered around Gallatin, Grant, Owen, Franklin, Carroll, Henry and Trimble counties.

Henderson tap is the same. It tastes good but not sure what all is in it. The Chlorine levels are pretty much at the max allowable as well.

As a soft drink addict I wish I bought more water.

 

I am too. Gave it up for lent. So far I really do not miss it as long as I have unsweetened iced tea around. I hope to greatly reduce my soft drink habit after lent...to about 2 a week instead of 2 a day (diet Mountain Dew is my favorite)...

The money that bottled water has made is RIDICULOUS. I remember when many didn't think it would last. Regardless I don't contribute, it's not been any different out of the tap.

Not all tap water is the same. I was one that said I never would buy bottled water. Well I do now.

My family does not drink Soda. At home we drink tap water but on vacation we take a cooler of bottled water. Some tap water is not drinkable

There's a place in Estill County that has natural spring water running from limestone rock from a pipe drilled into Cow Creek Mountain on route 52 in Estill County. People come from all around to fill up jugs of water flowing from that pipe. It's clear as can be and taste great. It runs all the time even during drought periods. It's a safe bet that people in that location never buy water, that spring is all they need.

I once read that bottled water is often transported in non air conditioned trucks. When exposed to heat the bottles begin to break down and chemicals are released into the water.. in some cases tap water is more pure. I only buy it if I am on vacation, or going to some kind of outdoor event. Much more of a tea drinker myself

I drink at least a half gallon of water everyday. I would never drink any water in Florida directly from the tap. At home, I have bottled water dispenser, but I use a Zero Water filter setup instead of bottled water. At work we have filtered water dispensers. If I have to buy bottled water, I usually buy distilled water.

 

I don't care for soda.
