As far as cheaper pizza goes, I'll gladly take Pizza Hut or Dominos over Papa John's. LaRosa's for sure too if it's in that category.

 

I think for me, I ate it so much in college. Every event on NKU's campus that provided food, had Papa John's, and I went to a lot of events.

 

I think I'd even throw Snappy in over Papa John's. Probably draw the line at Donatos though.

I forgot about Donatos. I'd take them over most I named. I think I'd actually go with Papa John's over Snappy's. And I could walk to Snappy's from my place haha.

I'm always shocked at the strong negative opinions on Papa John's. I'm not the pizza connoisseur that many of you are, and I don't eat pizza more than 1x a month, but I'm fine with Papa John's. I think their mushrooms are the best of the national chains, and that is my favorite topping. I don't love their crust...until...wait for it...I dip it in that garlic butter. Then it is yummy.

 

Personally, I'd put it ahead of Snappy Tomato and LaRosa's (pizza, I still love a lot of the other items on their menu), and certainly ahead of Donato's. It is on par with Pizza Hut and Domino's to me, but again, I'm not the pizza-nut some others are. My first choice for delivery pizza is Gramma's, mostly because I think they use a 5 pound bag of prov / mozz blend on every pie.

Growing up, I was a Cuneo's/Ft. Thomas Pizza fanatic! Too far of a drive now unfortunately so now I am a Sun Valley Pizza fan!

 

I love spending my money at hometown mom and pop joints rather than the big chains who mass produce cardboard.

There is no such thing as bad pizza in my mind. There are without a doubt levels of quality but anyone who can't enjoy a cheap pizza is a little to pizza snobby for me to hang with. We all have our preference , but if a buddy buys a Papa John pizza I'm not turning down a slice.

Little Caesars is the best of the chain pizzas.

Not a fan of Papa John's at all. I prefer Pizza Hut or LaRosa's. locally I love Giuseppe's in Covington. I don't understand how the concept and the title of the thread works or will work. How would you even know if you want to the front lines? Sounds like a rip off to me

This is a bad idea from a marketing perspective. They are basically admitting that their deliveries are not timely, AND that they can cut corners and make a pizza faster. This opens the door to too much customer thinking.

 

If they feel like they have to do this, then start a "preferred customer program" that people can join...it gives them some priority benefits and more likely assures a repeat clientele. I'm not a marketing guru though...

I miss the "greasy Greek" grinder joints that sold pizza when we lived up in New England. It was my all time favorite pizza except for Coletta's barbecue pizza in Memphis. Other than that, I am satisfied with the Little Ceaser's hot to go $7.00 three meat pizza or heating up a frozen pizza.

I refuse to eat frozen pizza. Those are the worst.

We often just pick up a pizza from Kroger. Not the frozen ones, but the actual Kroger pizzas that just need cooked, not heated. I don't remember what they call them.

 

Sometimes they even have them for $4.99. Pretty good quality in my opinion.

I love those pizza kits the schools used to sell. That's about the only frozen I do.

Not a fan of Pappas. Actually don't eat a lot of pizza out. Flat breads at restaurants are fine for apps. I'll go with a hoagie.

A higher end frozen or store deli take and cook pizza is FAR better than anything Little Caesars ever thought about making.
