February 25, 20179 yr I do not root for either football program, so this is a question from an outsider. What advantages or why would a recruit pick UC over UK as the programs currently sit ? As an outsider it seems to be an up hill battle .
February 25, 20179 yr Playing for a program that has been a winner over getting your teeth kicked in regularly in the SEC. Hypothetically less resistance moving up the depth chart. History shows getting to the NFL is no different in either spot...
February 26, 20179 yr I've been saying for months UC needed to take Reigelsperger from UK and they didn't today. UC has a tough road ahead of them but Fick just got there also.
February 26, 20179 yr UK can't match the recent history of winning that UC has had but their is optimism is on rise at UK as their recruiting has gotten tremendously better under Stoops. Winning aside which is a huge plus, UK's facilities, particularly their new training center is off the hook. Being able to grow as a player and train in a state of the art facility with the luxuries that compare to any top tier program is a plus for UK.
February 26, 20179 yr UC already has a state of the art training facility, and is in the process of moving in to a brand new living quarters a block from the practice field. UK has a slight edge with a year round indoor complex, but the rest is equal...
February 26, 20179 yr You think that Sheakley/Lindner Facilities is equal to the new Craft Football Training facility?
February 26, 20179 yr You think that Sheakley/Lindner Facilities is equal to the new Craft Football Training facility? The training facilities at Lindner are highest level. Edge to Craft for being a permanent indoor structure. Very little difference otherwise...
February 26, 20179 yr UK's indoor facility is the Nutter Center behind Commonwealth. The Craft football Training Center is a stand alone complex near the Nutter Center and is not a part of a rec center nor is it multi-purpose. Two grass fields connected to the facility with all the amenities that you don't see at many places from a barber shop to training cafe to tutoring facility all in one building. It has the accordion style windows/doors that opens up to the fields from the weight room complex. We will have to disagree on this one, but the Craft Football Training Center is spectacular.
February 26, 20179 yr Haven't heard anyone brag about a natural grass field since like 2007. Has it really been that long since UK didn't have an awful season and you stopped posting here? Good to see you back around labs... :lol2:
February 26, 20179 yr Kentucky is in the SEC, which most schools in the SEC are piggybacking off of Bamas dominance. Kentucky is on the rise though, so they have that going for them. Kentucky is a Nike school Kentucky has amazing facilities But the question is why Cincy would be picked over UK, reasons I can think of: Closer to home (considering we are talking Ohio kids) Not in the SEC (pro and a con for both) They've won more lately. HC helped win a national title at Ohio State, and played for Ohio State Has some momentum right now I'd love to see them on eachothers schedule. They'll be competing off the field, let them do it on the field too.
February 26, 20179 yr The training facilities at Lindner are highest level. Edge to Craft for being a permanent indoor structure. Very little difference otherwise... You have any video of UC's facility, I'd likeb to see it. I had no idea it was that nice.
February 26, 20179 yr I'd love to see them on eachothers schedule. They'll be competing off the field, let them do it on the field too. Will never happen...it is hard enough for UK to make a bowl game as it is because of their conference schedule. They aren't going to schedule a team like UC, who is capable of being them regularly every year.
February 26, 20179 yr The training facilities at Lindner are highest level. Edge to Craft for being a permanent indoor structure. Very little difference otherwise... Have you been to UK's?
