To paraphrase AI: "We're talking about JV. JV. C'mon, man, we're talking about JV."

It was reported by the X faithful on here in recent weeks that DJ had an ankle injury. Is it his knee? or both? Wow, the kid is having a tough year.

Duece, like fellow sophmore Tim Phillips from Trinity, will play key roles in Friday's game. So whats your point?

DJ will have surgery on Wednesday. Classy kid...I wish him the best.

So if Stein looked good and Petrino struggles on the varsity level

( hypothetically, of course!) , would you ever see Beatty switch away from Nick to Will?

No, but it is good to know that we have our very own version of Hunter Cantwell.:thumb:

Good luck to him.

Sorry, but if Trinity wanted to play so-called soph and jr "studs" they would have played Phillips(soph), Mattingly (soph), Robey (jr), Weitlauf (jr), Kupper (jr), Alex and Nathan Dutton (jr), Jeff Neagli (jr) etc. I think you are trying to find an excuse and I would suggest you look elsewhere. I will also point out that while Trinity played every kid in uniform including multiple series by each of three QBs, St. X didn't pull out their starter until less than a minute was left in the game. Only then did the number two signal caller get the nod. Another very un-X like move.

How many kids did they have in uniform? In my past experiences they each dress about 120. That's a lot of kids to play.

There is no such thing as a "friendly rivalry" nor should there be.

Trinity JVs beat X JVs in all aspects of that game.

I was real impressed with Stein and did not realize he was such an efficient passer.

The kicker was also spectacular. I have not heard of him until the game. I will not forget him.

St. X played Juniors in this game and have done so in the past.

I hate losing to Trintiy, no HATE losing to Trinity.

This is a great rivalry and if your team does not have one (a great rivalry) you are missing one of the highlights of high school football.

Very nice post Luck

This loss broke a Pride week winning streak back to September 26, 2003 for the Tigers.

You might want to fact check this. The Rocks swept the Tigers in 2003. The Rocks won in September and December that year.:thumb:

On JV? 120 never happened. More like 50.

Amen brother, AMEN!

Those not involved, can't quite understand. I really can't blame them though, as no other shool in the state has a point of reference that can help them understand. So I would say to those on the outside, don't try to understand it, just enjoy it as a great and unique experience that is the Trinity/St.X rivalry.:D

We try to make them understand. But, they never will. It is something you have to live before you understand.

GO ROCKS !

JV is more important than some of you are letting on. Remember most of us played JV at some time, and it sure seemed like a big deal when I played in those games.

I am not saying that a JV game is not important...any game is important to those involved. What I am saying is that people need to talk about what actually happened in the JV this week (as you can see that hasn't happened much in this thread.)

Also, there is nothing wrong with having a great rivalry but that doesn't mean you should act classless because of the great rivalry.
