What's Something You Can Do That Most Folks You Know Cannot Do?

Useless, I know, but I am pretty good at imitating foreign accents as well as accents across the states as well.

Oh yeah, I've always had a great ear for accents. My dad doesn't have caller ID on the phone at his office, and I will regularly throw a wild accent at my mom when she picks up and play it as long as possible to see if she can figure out it's her son messing with her.

That's the phrase I was looking for. Sometimes if I am watching TV I find myself listening to how the person is speaking then I start imitating.

I can do a good Scottish, but never could get the Irish brogue correct. It invariably slips back into Scottish or Cockney on me.

Limits, partial differentiation, multiple integration, regression analysis.

Never got past basic parametric and nonparametric statistics. But I was good enough at it, as well as technical writing, to tutor experimental psychology and statistics then catch on as a graduate assistant way back in the day.

Circus freak.

I can read upside-down very well. After taking a couple semesters of Russian, I used to be pretty good at reading Cyrillic, but that's gone soft.

I used to be really good at stacking quarters on the end of my elbow and doing the snap thing and catching them. Tough to explain without showing you, but I don't think I can do it anymore.

I'm pretty good at the reading upside down thing and the quarters thing. Cyrillic is Greek to me.

And to think, you had to do it before SPSS or R. Did you have to engrave the equations on stone? :D

Interesting that you mention those statistical packages. I was finishing up as they were in their relative infancy. Actually took a class that was 6 weeks of SPSS, 6 weeks of SAS and 6 weeks of BMD. It was a whole new ballgame for those of us that had had to learn to plot lines of regression and correlation coefficients, analysis of variance and the like by hand.

Here's an actual unretouched photo of ol' pap in math class.

I can write the alphabet backwards faster than most can forwards. Was a nice moneymaking bet back in the day.

Do you still have that hammer and chisel?

Probably came in handy while they were designing the pyramids.

I can recite the alphabet backwards faster than most can forwards.

I can do this one too!

I can go catching instead of just fishing. Been fishing since I was about 5 and have a lot of knowledge about the times, temps, depths, water clarity, tides, colors, seasons and everything else that goes into the game.

Drink alcohol without ever getting a hangover.

I've never had one, and not from lack of trying. It really angers MrsC when she gets one and I never do.

Same thing here. We must share that same gene.

My Mrs. claims she is just tired the next day, not hungover. LOL

Scratch myself. :sssh:

Winner! No one's going to try to disprove that.

Greek alphabet. One of those strange things that stuck with me from 9th grade World History.

Me, too, but from TKE Fraternity haz...er...pledgeship.
