Tennessee 82 Kentucky 80

UK relied heavily on Jarrod Polson and Jon Hood in the 2013 Season, how did that go?

Let's be honest. UK has gotten some good role players out of the state. But who would you have left off the last 8 years so a KY kid could play a major role? (and remember that there is no guarantee that said KY kid wanted to go to UK)

Your point is valid, here is the problem, CAL runs dribble drive, that is not a play to the post, they want to shoot it quick, hard to run a quick hitter to the post. I have watched them run same 2 plays that he ran to Towns, just don't do it enough. He also ran plays to Monk coming off all those screens.

To be fair Calipari has done a great job changing his offense to fit the personnel since he has been at uk. In fact the majority of his time at UK he has not really ran his true dribble drive offense.

This year's team has been in the top 5 all year offensively, so there hasn't really been a need to change much. I mean we all agree that they didn't do as well offensively last game and still scored 80.

So sometimes you need a game like this, where it's more or a struggle. To really get the players attention and even coaches attention on what to work on in case other teams successfully can slow them down.

I didn't say he did over those 3, however when they are playing like they did at Tennessee, the bench teaches valuable lessons.

Hawkins played 15 minutes Tuesday night and contributed 0 points, 2 fouls and 1 rebound.

He is currently 7th on the team in minutes played. 4th among the guards in a 3 guard lineup.

Hawkins in my opinion has not ever played enough. You tell me how he plays 20 minutes plus in the national championship game against U-Conn to not playing any at all the next year. My bad we went with 2 twins that were chokers. I am telling you that in the history of Ky Basketball a Ky kid has made big plays when they need them. Check all the national titles they have. We all know why Pulliam and Calipari are on the team lets not get that twisted, the 3 I mentioned at U of L are playing well. And our All American 1 and done kids could not guard Snider, period.

The 2 twins were chokers? Hmmm in 3 years they made the championship and went undefeated all the way to the final four the next year.

I'm fine with people not liking them but at the end of the day they meant a lot more to UKs success than Hawkins. Uk doesn't sniff the championship in 2014 with Hawkins playing more than them. Uk doesn't have the season they did in 2015 without them either.

Hawkins plays hard defensively. However has not been a good shooter in college, not a great Ball handler or rebounder. He does play hard and his role off the bench to spell people is the perfect role for him.

Hawkins is having his best year this year. But its in the role that's perfect for his skills.

I'm with you on the Harrisons. They drove me crazy so many times. But Aaron was as clutch as any UK shooter has ever been in the biggest of games. I still think the Cats win in 2014 if Willie Cauley Stein were in the lineup in the title game. He would have been able to help check the boards and erase some shots near the rim.

I'd take Hawkins over the twins any day of the week. Just me.

You lose lots of credibility with your opinion of the twins. While they may not have lived up to their lofty projections, they were very good college players and significantly better than Hawkins. Labeling them chokers means you have a very short or at a minimum a selective memory.

It is unfortunate, but there are not many Kentucky kids who can help us even as role players.

Without a doubt.

Darius Miller, was a big part of them winning it with CAL

Yes he was. But he was a lesser factor in that then Davis, MKG, Doron Lamb, Terrance Jones, and Teague were.

I still don't think the Twins lived up to the hype at UK, say what you will. How come 3 Ky boys can help Louisville? Willis and Hawkins both help UK now.

I don't even know what your arguing anymore....Louisville has KY kids, so does UK. Great.

Are you saying you'd rather Kentucky have more KY kids instead of All-American, top recruits?

If so, that's your right, but I hope you enjoy the 10 loss seasons and fighting for your tournament life as late as mid-late February.

Miller, 2008's Kentucky Mr. Basketball while playing for Mason County, completed his UK career as the steady and efficient sixth man (logging 26.1 minutes and scoring 9.9 points per game) on the 2012 National Champion squad. He also played starter's minutes for Cal's first two UK teams, including a career high of 1,178 on the '10-'11 Final Four team (also leading the group in FT% [85%] and contributing 10.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game).

Key Stats: 152 games played and 1,248 career points

Miller is the all-time UK leader for games played and also the only 'Cat from the Cal Era in the top 35 (#34) in career scoring, ahead of other 4-year UK legends such as Deron Feldhaus (#34), Chuck Hayes (#40), Wayne Turner (#42), and Dirk Minniefield (#51), among many others.

Its not what I am saying at all.

1. When UK has won national titles a kid from UK has been a major contributor

2. There are (5) kids on UK and UofL teams now from our state, and are all 5 helping their teams

This is what I am saying
